This invention relates to a combination saw-buck, saw-clamp, and table.

bjects ot' this invention are to provide a device which is collapsible and which may be opened upto provide a saw-buck, sawf clamp or table, and yet, which is of simple and strong construct-ion and not likely to get out of order.

Further objects are to provide a novel form o'l'I device in which the table top is foldable, and is adapted to be used as a seat while the device is used as a saw-clamp, thus providing a device which is eminently suitable to this kind of work. A

An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings, in which:

Fig. 1 is a view of the device opened up and used as a sawl buck;

Fig. 2 is a view of the device as it appears when used as a saw clamp,such view showing in dotted lines the position of one of the parts when the device is used as a table; and

Fig. 3 is a vertical sectional View on the line 3 3 of Fig. 1.

Referring to the drawings, it will be seen that vvfthe device comprises a pair of inner legs 1 and a pair ot outer legs 2 arranged in crossed relation. These pairs ot' legs are joined by means of the braces 3 and t respectively. ylhe inner legs 1 have secured thereto, by means of brackets 5, a transverse lock ing bar 8, This locking bar is rectangular, and is provided with triangular ends 9. These triangular ends 9 Vare adapted to lit Yithin notches 10 formed inthe outer bars or legs 2 when the device is opened up as shovvn in Figs. l and 2.

Itis to be noted Yfurther that the device is provided with notches 11 in each of the legs. These notches are adapted to receive the iolded table vportion 12 as shown in Figure 2 when the device is used as a saw clamp. rIhis folded table portion provides a seat for the operator. Further, it will be noted that the transverse member 8 is provided with a locking bar or clamping bar 13 which is secured by means of a thumb nut 14 to one 1926. ySerial No. 100,861.

end of such member. This clamping bar is adapted to hold a saw, such as indicated at 1 5, tightly against the member 3. A relatively large clamp 16 may be employed for the tree end of the clamping arm 13 as shown most clearly in Fig. 3.

Thus, when the vdevice is used as a saw clamp, means are provided for rigidly holding a saw in position, and also for affording seat for the operator.

It is also clear, as shown in dotted lines in Fig4 Q, that the table portion l2 may be opened up' and placed across the upper ends or' the bars or'side members l and 2 to thus provide a table.

It will be seen that a simple type ot device has been provided, and it will be seen turther, that the device is strong and rigid.

Further, it is to be noted that the device maybe folded into a compact shape when not in'use.

Although the invention has been described in considerable detail, such description is in` tended as illustrative rather than limiting as the invention may be variously embodied and as the scope ot' such invention is to be determined as claimed.

I claim:

In a device of' the class described comprising two pairs of pivotally joined crossed legs, one element of each pair being joined to the other element ot the other pair by a transverse brace, a relatively heavy transverse brace joining the inner' legs and rojecting outwardly in line with the outer legs, said outer legs having notches adapted to receive' the relatively heavy brace when the legs are opened up, a saw clamp carried ad-v jacent the end ot one pair of legs, said legs having opposed notches on their inner side and a removable seat portion positioned between said notches.
