I claim: l. In `a device oi the character described, a reel formed of a `flat sheet ot' metal adapted to be rolled to form a cylinder, the ends of said sheet being provided with seams adapted to be interlocked When assembled, vsaid cylinder being provided with diametrically opposed slots adjacent each side, and cross'arms passing through said slots, said yadapted to retain said seams in locked position, and being further provided with projecting portionsserving as guides.

In a device of the character described, a reel formed of a flat sheet of metal adapted to be rolled to form a cylinder, the ends of said sheet being provided With seams adapted to 'be interlocked when assembled, said cylinder being provided with diametrically opposed slots adjacent each side, cross'V arms passing through said slots, said cross arms being adapted to retain said seams in locked position and being further provided with projecting'portions serving as guides, and

In adevice of the Acharacter described, a reel formed of a piece otsheet metal shaped to iiorm a cylinder, the edges of said sheet being curled to form. an interlocking seam, said sheet being provided with a plu rality or lslots adjacent each side andadapted to form pairs of diametrically opposed slots when the reel is assembled, cross arms passing through said slots, said cross arms projecting beyond said cylinder to form guides, and auxiliary-cross arms arranged adjacent said cross arms and having their ends passing a slight distancethrough said slots.

In a device of the character described, a reel ormed of a piece of sheet e metal shaped to form a cylinder, the' edges of said sheet being curled to form an interlocking seam, said sheet being provided With a Vplurality of slots adjacent each side adapted to form pairs of diametrically oppo-sedfslots when the reel is assembled, crossV arms passing through said slots, said cross arms projecting beyond said cylinder to `formy guides, and auxiliary cross arms arranged adjacent said cross arms and extending a lslight distance through said slots, said `auxiliary cross arms serving as reento-rcingmeans said cylinder. i *n j i, f
