the novel construction and :arrangemont of the parts thereof.
The primary object of the invention is to provide an improved kit for manicuring linger nails, the device containing a nail file, nail polisher and compartment holding nail polish, arranged in compact form.
Another object of the invention is to provide a device of this nature which will be cheat and attractive as well as practical for the purpose intended.
The invention will be more fully understood by reference to the following descriptio'n, taken in 'connection with the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof in which:

Referring more particularly to the drawings, the kit or vanity set comprises a be); with lid 2, the latter hinged at 3 to the box 1 and provided with a snap arrangement 4 to lock the lid in place. The box and lid are constructed of metal, silver-plated or nickel-plated, or may be constructed of any metal suitable 'for the purpose and not too expensive for manufacturing the article.
On the bottom of the box is arranged a nail file 5' pivoted by a button 6 to be swung; to "various positions as indicated for instance by the dotted lines in Figure 3 and when not in use the nail file may have its position under the box as shown in full lines.

As a buffer for polishing the nails there is provided a rubber cushion 8 with a chamois skin covering 10 and having a central opening 9, the cushion being pressed down into the box .1 through the large opening in the lid and held in place by the flanges 2" v on the cover 2. The cushion or buffer 8 may be of rubber or other material.
