Another object of the invention is to provide a pendant electric lighting fixture in which the fixture arms are removably attached to the body, the connection of the arms to the body being such that the arms are held against displacement, so that the proper spacing of the arms is always maintained.
The invention possesses other advantageous features, some of which with the foregoing, will be set lforth at length in the following description, where I shall outline in full those forms of my invention which I have selected for illustration in the drawings accompanying and forming part of the present specification. In said drawings I have shown two forms of electric lighting fixtures embodying my invention, but it is to be understood that I do not limit myself tol such forms, since the invention, as set forth in the claims, may be embodied in a plurality of other forms.

Refer-ring particularly to the fixture shown in Figures 1, 2 and` 3, the fixture comprises abodyplate 2 which ispreferably circular in shape, and which is provided with a plurality of circumferentially spaced apertures 3. 4The apertures preferably open radially on the periphery of the plate and the inner sides of the apertures are straight and are provided with depending lugs 4, which assist in positioning and supporting the lighting fixture arms. f
The lighting fixture arms 5 are tubular and arecurved or bent into any desired form, depen-ding upon the design of the fixture. The arms are provided at their outer ends with sockets for the lamp 6, and the wires 7 for the respective sockets extend through the tubular arms. At its upper end, each tubular arm is fiattened and the flattened end bent over to form a tab 8 which bears against the upper surface of the plate 2. The flattened -portion of the arm is of the same width as the aperture 3 and the unbent flattened portion of the arm lies against the inner side of the aperture, so that, when the arm is secured to the plate, there can be no relative movement of the arm with respect to the plate. In the present instance, the arms are attached to the plate by bolts 9, extending through the tabsA 8 and the plate 2. The lower ends of the bolts 9 are concealed by the ornamental device 13, which'is supported on the stem 14 which 'is in threaded engagement with the plate 2.
