ARRANGEMENT FOR FIXING SKIS ON BOOTS.

Be it known that ADOLPHE ScHrEss, citizen of Switzerland, residing at La Chauxde-Fonds, Canton of Neuchatel, Switzerland, has invented certain new and useful Improvements in Arrangements for Fixing Skis on Boots, of which the following is a specification. p

This invention relates to a device for securing skis on boots, and the device comprises for each ski a stirrup in two parts, the front edge of each of them having the shape of a guiding curve, adapted to engage at least one of the cramps fixed on the front part of the boot, Ithe whole being arranged in such a manner as to enable the said cramp to be guided in its movements by the curves aforesaid, this cramp being besides provided with an extension directed towards the point of the ski and adapted to enter into engagement with a hook fixed on the ski.

In order that the invention may be fully understood and readily carried into effect the same will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate by way of example a device according to the invention.

The ski l is provided with a metallic cramp 2 which is fixed on it by means of the screws 3. The end of the cra-mp2 is curved in the shape of a hook 4 4 in such a way as to enable the extension 5 of the cramp 5 rigid with the sole 6 of the boot 7 to engage in this said hook. The cramp 5 is provided on each side with a lateral nose 8 8 which bears on guiding curves 9 9 These curves are cut in the stirrups formed by vertical sides 11 11 and horizontal sides 12 The two stirrups 10-10 fixed on a ski, are held apart, as required, by means of a wedge 13 which is engaged in holes such as shown at l4 14, cut in the horizontal sides 12 12 of each stirrup. Another Wedge 15 bears on the whole of the stirrups 10-10 in theamortise 16 disposed on the ski the portion 12 12 of the stirrup being inserted into mortise 16.

Having now particularly described and ascertained the nature of my said invention and in what manner the same is to be performed, I declare that what I claim is A device for securing skis on boots, comprising for each ski, a cramp attachable to the front part of a boot, a stirrup in two parts, the front' edge of each of them having the shape of a guiding curve adapted torv engage said cramp, the whole being so arranged as to enable the cramp to be guided in its movements by the curves aforesaid, a.
