- The. present'invention aims, as another 'pur' ose, to prevent binding between the wall of t 'e casin and the revoluble shredding cone, not on y preventing binding at this point but also preventing the soap from clogging around-"a short shaft with which the shredding cone rotates. It is true that soap in a-sense is of a lubricating character but where it is being constantly fed into a shredder wherein there is a space between the cone and the wall of the casing, the soap is 'very apt to pack between these parts and somewhat retard the action of theshredding cone. residing at Salt Lake Cit in the county of the shred ing's'urface of the cone and hence shred the soap into particles.
' Shredders of this character have heretofore been produced and, therefore, there is no claim made for the'broad idea. However, in the device as heretofore used, the soap particles clog between the shredding cone andthe casin thereby preventing the cone from being eely'rotated, especially.

It is true that soap in a-sense is of a lubricating character but where it is being constantly fed into a shredder wherein there is a space between the cone and the wall of the casing, the soap is 'very apt to pack between these parts and somewhat retard the action of theshredding cone. '1 Still another purpose is to provide means: consisting of interengaging shoulders to re lieve this binding, in conjunction with means for retaining the shoulders in engagement and yet permit the shredding cone to freely rotate.
It is to understood that the particulars herein given are in no way limitative and" that, while still keeping within the scope of the invention, any desired modifications of detail and-desired proportions may be made in the apparatus according to the Y circumstances. Mounted in the casing 4 is a shredding done .11 provided with struck-up triangular soap shredding points 12. These points extend'outwardly of the shredding cone and thereby cause a plurality of openings 13 to be formedin the wall of the shredding cone and through which the shredded soap may pass. Rising from the casing 4 isa hopper 14 through which a bar of soapmay pass so as to contact with the shreddin points12.
