Be it known that l, Fano MACK GLovn'R,

a citizen of the United States, residing at Nest Point, in the county of Troup and State of Georgia, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pessaries, of which the following is a specification.

My invention relates to improvements in pessaries, the primary object thereof residing .in thc rovision of such an article that may be rea ily applied, andis of such a nat ture that when applied will eii'ectively main; tain the womb in its correct position, the nature of the same being such as not to interfere with the womb discharges. A further object of my invention is the provision of such a pessary that may be comfortably worn without the usual irritation of the vagina nor the compression of the rectum, my article consisting of a soft,

pliable sponge rubber material.

Having the above and other objects in view, the nat-ure of the invention will be` body, preferably in the shape as shown, of

soft and pliable sponge rubber. The edges of the bo y are rounded and in the upper end thereof is formed a pocket 6, the bottom wall 7 of which is curved outwardly and terminates at the front face of the said body.. The upper end 'of this pocket is cut inwardly of the front edges 8 thereof, to prevent accidental displacement of the womb from the pocket 6 when thesame is disposed therein in av manner clearly shown in Figure l.

ln view of the above description it will at once be apparent that l have provided a pessary that is a substantial improvement over the art and one that will fully anticipate the above ascribed objects.

Although I have herein shown and `described the preferred embodiment of the present invention it is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes Amay be made therein without departing from the spiritand scope 1of the invention as claimed.
