UNITED STATES CHARLES PELLER, OF OKli/IULGEE, OKLAHOMA.
HOSE ATTACHMENT.
Application filed November 23, 1922. Serial No. 602,898.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, CHARLns PnLLnR, a citizen of the United States, residing at 'Olrmulgee, in the county of Okmulgee and State of Oklahoma, have'invented certain new and useful Improvements in Hose Attachments, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to certain new. and 1 useful improvements in hose attachments,
and relates more particularly toa hose supporter which is employed to support the hose so as to direct the stream or spray at any desired point.
The primary object of the invention is to provide a supporting device of this character which is of very simple and economical construction and which may be easily and quickly moved to various points about the surface to be Watered.
In the drawings Figure 1 is a front elevation of the invention, parts being broken away and shown in section, and Figure 2, is a side elevation.
In proceeding in accordance with the present invention, a rod 1 is employed the lower end of whichispointed so as to be readily forced into the earth. If desired, the rod may be formed in sections, pivotally 3 connected by a thumb screw or bolt 7, to
allow the upper section of the rod to be inclined as desired.
The upper end portion of the rod is bent to provide a handle 2 and an. interpart 3 to form a rigid the flat parts of the rod 1. Bolts are projected through the respective engaged flat parts of the jaws and are provided with wing nuts 5 and 6.
From the above it will be apparent that a simple compact and economical structure is afforded, and one in which but few parts i are employed.
What IS claimed is:, l In a hose supporter, a rod having its lower end pointed and formed to be forced into the earth, said rod having its upper end bent to have a handle and having an intermediate portion thereof bent into the form of a semicircle to form a rigid jaw, the parts of the rod immediately adjacent to the ends of the jaw being fiat and disposed in alinement, a movable aw of semi-circular form having fiat ends extending outwardly therefrom and engaged with said flat parts of the rod, bolts projected through the respective engaged fiat parts of the wing nuts on the bolts.
In testimony hereof I have my name to this specification.
