I SANITARY SUNDAE-CUP HOLDER AND DISPEITSEI.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, PETER Po'rTs a citizen of the United States, and a resident of the city of Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in a Sanitary Sundae-Cup Holder and Dispenser; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the numerals of reference marked thereon, which foit m a part of this specification.
This invention relates to improvements in holders and dispensers for paper cups used for serving sundaes or the like at soda fountains or other similar places and has for one of its objects the provision of a sanitary dust-proof holder for such paper cups or receptacles and one from which the same may be readily removed with a minimum expenditure of time and trouble.
Another object of the invention is the provision of a sanitary holder and dispenser for cups or the like which is absolutely dustproof and which forms a neat and attractive receptacle and which is moreover compact and is adapted to be positioned so as to be always within the ready reach of the attendant at the fountain and conveniently accessible without detracting from theneat orderly appearance of the establishment.
1 A still further object of the invention is the provision of a convenient, durable e ctive dispenser or container especially noted for the dispensing of paper or other ed role nested cups which is prevent any contact of the hands or the dent with the cups.
ll another important object of the invention is the provision of a sansundoe cup holder and dispenser w ein the blanks are kept clean and free from and are so positioned that they cannot be touched or handled except by withdrawing them singly and in a particular manner,
(Ether and further important objects of invention will be apparent from the Specification of Letters Patent. P55t1mfi3fl A mo 11 1922 in 9 Application filed February 528, 1921.

Figure l is a top plan view of the'comblned holder and dispenser showing the same in closed position.
Figure Q is a side elevation of the same in open position.
Fio'ure 3 is a side elevation of the holder and ispenser in closed position.
Figure is a partial sectional view taken on the line 4-4 of Figure 3.
Figure 5 is a detail sectional view taken on the line 55 of Figure 1.
As shown on the drawings:
The reference numeral indicates the base of the holder or container or dispenser which may be made of any suitable material and which is preferably circular in form and has fixed thereon an inner containing member 12 approximately semi-cylindrical in form. This member 12 is in the shape of a cylinder with a portion cut away as is best shown in igure 2. An approximately semi-circular top 14: is provided for the member 12 and is fastened thereto in any approved manner such as by soldering or brazing. A portion of the top 14 is cut away to correspond with the opening in the cylinder 12 ldotatably mounted in a hole in having handle center of the top 14 is lfi at its upper end a arled lrnob or 18.
