IMPROVEMENT IN BRlDLE-BITS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 141,334, dated July 29, 1873; application filed April 12, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, VINcENzo OoUNT DI TERGOLINA, of Bernard Street, in the county of Middlesex and Kingdom of Great Britain, have invented Improvements in the Construction of Bits for Horses and Animals, of which the following is a specification:
My invention relates to bits for horses; and the nature thereof consists in certain improvements in the construction of the same, hereinafter described.
In the accompanying drawing, illustrating a bit with my improvements applied thereto, a is the middle member of the mouth-bar, with ioints at b, and beyond which the bar is continned in each direction, and united to the cheek-plates c c and the lugs or eye-pieces d on the plates. m on are the improved side levers, shown as constructed of a somewhat ornamental pattern, but notably much stouter Witnesses:
