To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JosnPH GORINAC, a citizen of J ugoslavia, residing at Collinwood, in the county of Cuyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented certain new and use ful Improvements in Liquid Containers, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to certain new and useful impnovements in liquid containers and has particular reference to a container in the form of a drinking glass or goblet of double wall construction containing a col ored liquid bet-ween the walls to create the impression that the container is filled with liquid and also is embodied in the form of a bottle having separate comipartments containing liquids of difi'erent colors.

The primary objectof the invention is to provide a liquid container in the form of a glass or goblet for amusement purposes wherein the container is of double wall construction with a plug closed opening in the outer wall for receiving a colored liquid to fill the space between the walls of the container.

A further object of the invention is to provide aliquid container in the form of a bottle especially designed for display pur poses for use in drug stores and the like wherein the container is formed of independent compartments adapted to be filled with diiferently colored liquids with a central prismatic tubular section containing illuminating means to render the liquids translucent.

With the above and other objects in view. the present invention consists in the novel form, combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described and shown in the accompanying drawings, in which like reference characters indicate similar parts throughout the several views.

neterring more in detail to the accompanying drawing and particularly to Figuresl and 2, there is illustrated a liquid containing bottle of oval formation embodying a wall 1 having a neck 2- with the throat of the bottle open and a plug stopper 4 entermg the neck 2.

The interior of the bottle 1 is divided into upper and lower compartments 5 and 6 re spectively and an intermediate compartment 7 by the provision of spaced horizontal partitions 8 and 9. A tubular member 10 is arranged centrally of the bottle 1 and is closed at its upper end as at 11 while the lower end 12 is opened and is in the same plane as the lower end of the bottle, the wall of the bottle, the partitions 8 and 9 and the tubular member 10 preferably being of integral construction as illustrated and formed of glass or other transparent material. The inner face of the tubular member 10 is formed with prismatic surfaces 10 and an electric lamp 13 is disposed within the tubular member 10 as illustrated in Figure 1 and connected with a suitable source of electric current for illuminating the lamp. The compartments 5, 6, and 7 are filled with differcntly colored liquids, the compartment 7 being in communication with the tube 14 closed at its lower end by a screw plug 15 while the compartment 5 is in communication with the tube 16 closed at its lower end by a screw plug 17. The lower compartment (3 is filled through the opening 18 shown in Figure 2 which is closed by a plug similar to the plugs 15 and 17, It will therefore be seen that the compartments are noncommunicative and are filled through independent openings closed by separate plugs so that liquids of different colors may be placed in the several compartments. When so filled, the lamp 15 may be illuminated and the bottle displayed for advertising purposes with the liquids illuminated and rendered translucent, thus presenting an attractive and pleasing appearance. In the construction shown in Figure 3, the invention embodies a goblet including a tubular stem 19 supportedon a base 20 and having a goblet bowl 21 at the upper end thereof with an inner wall 22 closed at its lower end as at 22 and formed integral with the upper end of the bowl 21 with the wall 22'spaced from the wall 21. The upper end of the tubular stem 19 is closed by a screw plug 23 and a colored liquid between the walls 21 and 22 will create the impression of the inner wall of the goblet containing a liquid.

In the form of the invention shown in Figure 4, a drinking glassor tumbler is disclosed, the same embodying an outer wall 24, connected to the bottom wall 25 having a central opening therein closed by a screw plug 26 while a tapering inner wall 27 connected at its upper end to the upper end of the wall 24 is spaced from the side wall 24 and the bottom wall 25. A liquid is placed between the walls 24 and 27 and amusement is obtained by persons attempting to empty or drink the fluid contents which is sealed between the spaced walls.

While there are herein shown and described the preferred embodiments of the invention, it is nevertheless to be understood that minor changes may be made in the form, combination and arrangement of parts without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed.

What is claimed as new is:

1. A liquid container comprising a body wall, spaced partitions in said container dividin the same into separate compartments, an inc ependent filling tube associated with each compartment, a closure plug for the outer end of each filling tube and a central tubular member within the container having prismatic surfaces formed on the inner face thereof.

2. A liquid container comprising a body wall, spaced partitions in said container dividing the same into separate compartments, an independent filling tube associated with each compartment, a closure plug for the outer end of each filling tube, a centraltubular member within the container having prismatic surfaces formed on the inner face thereof and an electric lamp disposed within the tubular member.
