To all whom it may concern:

Be it knownl that I, AUGUST WEBER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Jersey City, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Tooth Comfort Kits, ofwhich thc following is a specification.

My invention relates to a kit for receiving and holding atooth brush and tube containing tooth paste.

An .important object of the invention is to provide a kit of the' above mentioned character, which is small, compact, inexpensive to manufacture, yand 'convenient in use.

In thedrawings, wherein for the purpose of illustration is shown a preferred embodiment of my invention, the numeral 10 designates an inner casing constituting the bodyportion of the kit ordevice. This inner casing is provided upon one side with a main longitudinal opening 11, as clearly shown in Fig. 4. The forward end of the inner casing 10 is provided with a tapered head 12, having a central opening 13. -The rear end ofthe inner casing 12 is covered by a removableA cap 14, having screwthreaded engagement therewith, as shown at 15.l Arranged within the inner casing 10. is a flexible tube 16, preferably formed of rubber, and having an opening 17 formed inl its forward end. The forward end of the inner casing 10 isprovided with a recess oi' notch 30, receiving the reducedportion 24 of the brush, the shoulder 25 contacting with the wall of the head'12. At its rear end, the inner casing 11l is provided with a transverse opening 31, for the reception vof the head 26.y The outer extension 27 of the head` extends across v the outer face of the screw-threaded portion 15 of the inner casing 10, but has no screwthreadedeengagement therewith, while the inner extension 28-projects inwardlyvof the same, as clearly shown in Fig. 4. l

The cap 14 is provided with an opening or notch 32 adapted for the reception of the extension 27. It is thus apparent that when the extension 27 projects into the opening or notch 32 the cap 14 is locked against turnling movement. The numeral 33 designates an outer casing having its forward end closed while its 1 rear end is formed open and adapted for insertion over the inner casing 10, the-same having a suitable sliding fit. The rear end of the outer casing 33 is adapted to contact with the forward end of the cap 14, and this rear end is provided with an opening or notch 35, for the reception of the forward portion ofthe head 26', the shoulder 29 contacting with the end wall of the o enin 25. As shown in Fig. 1, the outer sur ace o the head 26 and the surfaces of the cap 14 and casing 33 are Hush.

When it is desired to remove the tooth paste tube 18, the outer casing 33 and'tooth brush are first removed whereby the 'cap 14 "may be unscrewed. Particular attention is called to the fact that when the tooth brush is in the assembled position and the outer casing 33 in place, the cap 14 is locked against turning or unscrewing movement.

It is to be understood that the form of my invention herewith shown and described is to be taken as a preferred example of the same, and that various changes' in the shape, size, and arrangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit of the invention or the scope of the subjoined claims.

Having thus described my invention, I claim:

1. In a kit of the character described, an inner tubular casing provided with a main longitudinal opening and a transverse opening at one end of the main longitudinal opening, said inner tubular casing being provided at the opposite end of the main longitudinal opening with a notch; a tooth brush having a handle provided at one end with a reduced portion to t within the notch and at its opposite end with a head to fit within the transverse opening and carrying outer and inner extensions to be arranged upon opposite sides of the wall of the inner tubular casing; a cap having screw-threaded engagement with the rear end'of the inner tubular casing and provided with a recess to receive the outer extension; and an outer tubular casing adapted to be passed about the inner tubular casing and-brush and provided at its rear end with the recess to receive a portion of said head.

2. In a kit of the character described, an

inner tubular casing adapted for the reception of a tooth paste tube, a cap having screw-threaded engagement with one end of the inner tubular casing and provided with a recess, a tooth brush having a handle extending longitudinally of the inner tubular casing with a portion of the handle projectd within the inner tubular casing and provided at its forward end with a contracted opening in registration with the first named contracted opening, a tooth paste tube arranged within the iexible tubular casing and having its cap extending through and beyond the contracted openings, a cap having screwthreaded engagement with the rea-r end of the inner tubular casing, a tooth brush hav- 'ing a handle havin interlocking engagement with the inner tu ular casing and its cap, and an outer tubular casing receiving the brush and inner tubular casing.

4. In a kit o the character described, a tubular casing adapted for the reception of a tube of tooth paste, a tooth brush having a handleextending longitudinally of the tubular casing, means for eecting a locking engagement between the handle and the tubular casing, a cap having screw-threaded engagement with one end of the tubular casing, and means for effecting a locking enga ement between 'the cap and handle where y the cap cannot rotate with respect to the tubular casing when the handle is in the active position.
