IMPROVEMENT IN MOSQUITO-NETS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 124,239, dated March 5, 187'2 antedatcd January 26, 1872.

Trios. S. WrNsLoW, of the city and count-y ofV New York and State of New York, has invented and produced a newT and original Improvement in Mosquito-Net, of which the following is a specification:
N atnre and Object of the Invention.
The nature of my invention is a self-sus-v taining net. The object ot' theinvention is to secure a mosquito-net that is independent of any ot' the usual support, can be readily pnt up and down, and removed it' necessary; is better arranged for temporary use and for invalids and children than any other net, and particularly adapted for sofa-beds and couches.
Description of the Accompanying Drawing'.
to keep the wires at their proper distance from each other, and to relieve the net from being' strained. D is the net, of lace or otherniaterial, cut and shaped to the frame, and being' kept in its place by being secured to the eyes of the rivets, as also to the wires ofthe frame. E is a chain, or other heavy elastic pliable material, attached to the edge ot' the net,
which balances the frame, keeping itin an 11p-- right position, as also keeping the net close to irregularities of the bed or object that it may rest upon. F is a joint on the sides of each wire ot' each arch, for the purpose of disconnecting the arches for packing purposes.
Claims.
1. The chain E or its equivalent, when combined with the net of a mosquito-frame, substantially as and for the purposes set forth.
