Be it known that l, HOWARD 'EARL Hoeven, a citizen of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook end S1-tete of illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Improvement in Cleaners, of which the followln is a speciiication, this applicationY being di Mey eo, wie.

' My invention relates' to suction sweepere end particularly to what l have called a. converter device or a device whereby the apperatus which is commonly intended to be used on the door con be converted into e device adapted to loe used with 4a hose which een 'be a oplied to furniture, ortho lilre.' Y A My converter is particularly applicable to and intended for use with suction sweepers whereinr a power driven brush is used in proximity to the mouth.

One object of'my invention is-"to provide simple means whereby a suction sweeper which contains a power driven brush may be quickly and easily converted from a iioor machine toa wall machine or the like without even stopping the .brush and without re moving the lorushv even though it he stopped.
