The stand comprises two elongated triangular side frames 1, between which the tub 2 is tiltably suspended. The front and rear members 3 and 1 of each of said side frames are preferably formed of angle iron with suitable feet 5 at their lower ends, and are connected by diagonal crossed braces 6. The rear members 4 of the frames are connected with each other directly below the tubby a cross-piece 7 and the two frames are further connected and braced near the bottom by tie members 8, which are secured at their outer ends to the lower portions of said members and are carried diagonally inward from the four corners of the base of the stand to the center, where they are Specification of Letters Patent.

As thus constituted the stand is ofstrong and durable construction, presents no parts in the path of the flow from the tub when the latter is tilted, and has the further advantage of affording a recess within its front portion wherein a receptacle may be placed, as indicated at 9' in Fig. 1, directly below the forward half of the tub in position to receive the discharge therefrom.
In the practical embodiment of the invention the tub is of sheetmetal construction, of oblong form, with a curved bottom. At the top it is provided with an outwardly projecting rim 10, of hollow boxed construction, constituting an effective reinforce- 'ment.
At the ends of the tub strap irons 11 are secured below the overhang of the rim, and carry bearing blocks 12, which receive hollowjournals 13 held by set screws 14 in blocks 15 secured to the apexes of the frames 1.
When in use the tub is held steady by means of a detent 16 which comprises a strip of resilient metal secured at its upper end to the cross-piece 7 as indicated at 17 and at its lower end being provided with a pedal 18 disposed near the bottom and one end of the stand. The upper portion 19 of the said strip is bent laterally, and this portion is formed with an opening 20, which normally receives-a pin 21 projecting downward from a plate 2%fast on the under side of the tub. Downward-pressure applied to the pedal 18 lowers the apertured portion 19, thereby freeing the tub, so that itvmay be tilted. When the pressure is removed the detent returns to holding position by virtue of its resiliency.
Centrally of the front of the tub the rim 10 is formed on its inner sidefwith an inclined notch or recess 23, this notch being included within the continuous lines of the rim and constituting a non-projecting pouring lip. In conjunction therewith a spout top 24 is provided over the forward portion ofthe interior of the tub, the said top comprising a flange projecting inward from the front wall of the tub opposite the rim and extending in either direction from the notch 28 to the end walls. The said flange is preferably widest 'at the ends and inclines upward from both ends toward the center, its middle portion 25 opposite the pouring a i I lip 23 being ofi'setupwardly and preferably "notched at its forward edge, as "at 26, in order .to aiford free egress for water.- 4 An angle iece 27, secured to a cross-bar 5 28 on one 0 the side frames 1, constitutes a stop in the path of the rim to limit the tilting of the tub to a degree which is 'advantageous for pouring.
