T 0 all whom it may concern Be it known that I, PAUL F. CALDWELL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Los Angeles, in th'ecounty of Los Angeles and State of California, have invented a new and useful Portable Rabbit-Hutch, of which the following is a specification.

My object is to make portable rabbit hutches with perforated elevated floors, thoroughly ventilated without drafts, and having convenient feed mange-rs; and my invention conscribed and claimed.

Rabbit hutches embodying the principles of my invention contain a plurality of independent compartments. In Fig. 1 I have shown compartments 1, 2, 3 and 4 on one side, and in Fig. 3 I have shown a partition 5, there being a second row of compartments 6 on the opposite side of the partition 5 from the row 1, 2, 3 and 4. A row of posts 7 extends downwardly from one side of the frame and a second row of posts 8 extends downwardly from the other side so as to hold the compartments elevated some distance from the ground 9. End walls 10 and 11 extend upwardly from the floor line and extend equal dispartition 5. Side sills 12 and 13 are secured to the posts 7 and 8 at the floor line and said side sills are connected by cross sills 14. The perforated floor is made up by securing slats 16 to the lower faces of thecross sills 1 1. Rafters 17 are secured to the extreme upper ends of the posts 7 and 8. The end walls 10 and 11 are secured to the end ones of the cross sills 1+ and to the rafters 17. The ridge pole 18 extends upwardly from the partition 5.

A post 32 is inserted in the opening of the apartment 2 and extends from the lower end of the stud 23 upwardly and outwardly from the stud and a section of screen 33 is secured to this inclined post and to the screen partition at the bottom and extends backwardly part way to the partition 5 and thenlaterally to the screen partition so as to form a manger 34 open at the front.

A bar 35 is inserted in the screen door frame 27 so as to fit against the bar 32 when the door is closed and the space 36 between space above lar manner a manger 38. is constructed for -the remaining two apartments of that side and two more mangers are constructed for the other side. A center sill 39 is inserted below the cross sills 14 substantially parallel with the lower side sills 1-2 and 13 and the lower edge of the partition 5 is secured to this center sill.

In this manner I construct rabbit hutches which that is, they may be moved step by step over any given area of yard as desired and the hutches are thoroughly ventilated without being open to drafts and are con-.

veniently arran ed for caring for and feeding the animals and for removing the ani- .mals.

The details of construction may be varied in many ways without departing from the spirit of my invention as set up in the following claims.

I claim 1. In a rabbit hutch, a partition formed of coarse screen, a second section of screen mounted to co-act with the first screenso as are readily portable when in use,
