Description
B. GOLDBERG. COMBINED MIDDY BLOUSE, ROMPERS, AND SKIRT.
APPLICATION F1150 DEC. 1.1914.
1 7 4/7107 Gala/M 0 ATTORNEYS Patented May 4,1915. 1
WIT/ 155 253 Toalleulwm it allay concern Bert known that I, BENJAMIN Gononnne, a citizen of the United States, and a res1- ,dent of the city of New York, borough of Manhattan, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Combined Middy-Blouse, Rompers, and Skirt, of which the following is a full, clear,
and exact description.
This invention relates to combination outer garments for children and; misses-and deals more especially 'with a middy blouse garment that embodies a detachable skirt or detachable rompers, whereby the garment can be worn with all three pieces or as only a two-piece garment with the skirt or the rompers attached to the blouse.
.The general objects of the invention are to provide a combination garment of the character referred toso as to be of neatand attractive appearance and readily converti-- ble for athletic use with the rompers attached-to the blouse, or as a more dressy apparel with the skirt attached to the-blouse with orwithout the rompers.
The blouse has an internal band adjacent its waist portion provided with suitable fas- I ten'ings whereby the. rompers may be attachedto the-blouse, and at the bottom of the blouse is another internal band having fasteners forenabli-ng the skirt to be attached theretoover the rompers. As these two lower partsof. the garment are sepa rately attached they can be used singly or together with the blouse atthe desire of the.
wearer, whereby the garment can be converted for gymnastic use or for regular wear.
WVith such objects in view and others which will appear as the description proceeds, the invention comprises various novel features of construction and arrangement of parts which will be set forth with particularity in tl16 following description and claims appended hereto. v
In the accompanying drawing, which illustrates one embodiment of the invention, and wherein similar characters of reference indicate corresponding parts in all the views, Figure 1 is a front perspective view of the garment Worn as a-combined middy blouse,
skirt and rompers Fig. 2 is a perspective s ar-area of Letters P'ate'nti ..-:m. f H mnY-BLoUsn'noMrER-s, am) sk er:

land2.
Referring to the drawing, A designates a m1ddy blouse, B the skirt and C the rompers. The blouse is clearly shown in Figs. a and 5 as being provided with internal bandsl.
and 2 arranged respectively at the waist and at the bottom edge of the blouse, and these serve respectively to attach the rompers and skirt to the blouse. The skirt B is of any approved design and is provided around its top with a band 3. The rompers are also of ordinary design and have a waistband 4C whichis provided with sockets 5 for engaging'studs 6 on the internal band 1, although any other suitable fastening means may be employed to detaehably connect the garments together. The band 3 of the skirt isprovided with sockets 7, as shown in Fig. 3, to receive the studs 8 of the internal band 2 of the blouse. It will thus be seen that the two lower parts of the garment are separately and detachably connected with the upper part and can be worn together or independently, according to the use to which the garment is to be put at any given time,
and in whatever form the garment is worn it presents a neat and attractive appearance. If desired, a belt 9 can be stitched to the blouse on the outside at the waist portion to increase the attractiveness of the garment.
Having thusdescribed my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent:
1. A combination garment comprising a blouse, rompers detachably connected to the blouse adjacent. the waist, and a skirt detachably connected with the blouse at a point be low the waist and covering the rompers.
2. A three-piece garment comprising a blouse, internal bands therein respectively at the waist and bottom of the blouse, and separate garment pieces detachably connected with the respective bands, whereby the blouse can be worn with either one or both of said pieces.
3. A blouse for a multiple-piece garment, name to this specififfcation in the presence ii%t zirnalljlbands 32 tendgn% arounzl thg ibnslide of two subscribing Witnesses. 0 1e ouse a acen he wins an e ow I the same, fastenings on the bands, and a BENJAMIN GOLDBERG 5 belt fastened around the outside of the Witnesses:
blouse at the Waist thereof. CHATTEN BRADWAY,
' In testimony whereof I have signed my PHILH D. ROLLHAUS.
