In Athe exemplilication of the invention shown in the drawings, an insulated hanger having a base flange 2 1s rigidly secured to any suitable support 3I by means of stud bolts 4 which pass through "the base flange Within theinsulator shield 1 is a mass of insulating material 5, in which is embedded a stud 6, having its'lower end members 7, 7 provided with screw threads, as shown in F igsrZ and 3. A trolley lineor conductor 8 is adapted to be engaged by a pair of clamping members 9 and 10, said clamping beingl provided with complementary recesses 11 and 12 to adapt said clamping members to receive a swivel heady 13 provided on the lower end of a member 14 havingI a screw socket therein. The swivel head 13 is separatedfrom the upper portion of the member 1,4 by a contracted neck l5; In order to provide means foA forcing the power arms 16 of the clamping members outwardly from each` other, so as to clamp Athe wire or conductor 8 therebeslidably mounted upon the member 14 and is provided withone or4 more -inwardly pro jecting lugs 18, whichslide in receiving reccsses 19 in the member 14, and which re-v cesses `open outwardly through the peripheral wall of the member. Thus connected it will be apparent that by rotating the collar or wedge l17 -in the propel' direct-ion, the member 14 will' be adjusted' upon the stud 7, 7a to force the clamping members upwardly. What I claim is:
l. ln a. trolley line clamp, the combination with a pair or' clamping members provided with complementary recesses for the reception of a .suspension member, one of said clamping members being provided With a curved lateralgvall having spaced passages th rethrough and a4 convex shield or apron extending over each passage on. the concave side of said lateral Wall to ferm journal sockets, the said shields being of a size less rosee-ee than ,the Lrespactive passages," thefother or said clamping members being p rovlded with journal lugs adapted tobe inserted through said passages into saidsockets, saidv curved lateral Wall of the one member being provided with recesses opening from said apertures forming shoulders and the trunnions of said other member being provided with lugs projecting into said recesses.
