To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN J. DEGENHARDT, citizen of the United States, residing at Elkville, in the county of Jackson and State :of Illinois, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Pins and Flower Holders, of which the following is a specification.

It has as an object to provide a combination flower holder and pln, decorative in its appearance, easy to manufacture, and efl'ective in the performance of its function.

The plate 4 is then returned to? its former position and the clasp 6 placed in engagement with the spring 1. The angularly disposed side flanges of the plate 4 engage the flower stem and pressing against it retain it in its adjusted position. It is of course understood that the plate 4 may be decorated with a design or may bear a' monogram or other suitable decoration.

Having thus described the invention what is claimed as new is:

l. A combination pin and flower holderembodying a coiled spring,having an attaching member, and an elongated laterally flanged retaining plate hinged to said spring and having a catch for engagement with the spring the flanges of said plate being adapted to engage the convolutlons of the spring.
