To all whom it may concern: Be it known thatI, GEORGE RIEXINGER, a citizen of the United States, residing at Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Mechanical Toys, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to mechanical toys. Its object is the production of an; interesting and attractive toy of this kind rep resenting a boxing contest. 7 In the accompanying drawingsz'Figure 1 is a side elevation of the toy witha portion of its base broken away. It will be noted that by simply turning the driving wheelI-I, both figures are actuated through the mediumof the rocking platform 0 and intermediate connections. As the movable parts of both figures are connected with opposite ends of the same actuator, i. e. the platform C, the toy is correspondingly simplified in construction and its cost of production reduced accordingly.
While the invention is herein shown as applied to figures representing boxers, I do notwish to limit the same to that particular use, as it is obviously applicable within the scope of the claims to figures of similar toys.
- I claim as my invention:
1. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory platform pivoted centrally to the base, a pair of figures supported above the platform and each having a movable part, and actuating connections between the movable parts of the figures and the platform, the connections of the two figures being attached to the plat-form on opposite sides of its pivot.
2. In atoy, the combination of a base, a
V vibratory platform mounted thereon, a figure' supported above the platform and having an upper movable part and a lower legsection movable vertically on the body portion ofthe figure, the lower end of said legsection being pivoted to the platform to vibrate vertically therewith, and means for operatively connecting said upper movable part of the figure with said movable legsection.
3. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory'platform mounted thereon, a figure supported above said platform and having'an arm provided with a jointed forearm, a lever pivoted to the body of the figure and connected with said jointed fore-arm,
and means for operatively connecting said lever with the platform.
4. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory platform mounted thereon, a figure supported above said platform and provided with arms, one of said arms having a jointed fore-arm and the other arm being pivoted to the body of the figure, a lever pivoted to the body of the figure and connectedwith said fore-arm, means for operatively connecting said lever with the platform, andmeans for operatively connecting vibratory platform mounted thereon, a figthe other arm of the figure with the platform.
5. In a toy, the combination of a base, a
ure supported above the platform and having an arm provided with a jointed forearm and a leg-section movable vertically relatively to the body of the figure, said leg-section being pivoted to the platform to vibrate therewith, a bell crank lever pivoted to the body of the figure, a link connecting the upper arm of said lever with said fore-arm, and a second link connecting the lower arm of said lever with said movable leg-section.
6. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory platform mounted thereon, a figure supported above the platform and having a movable head and a movable arm, a 7 lever pivoted to the body of the figure and operatively connected with said platform, and means for operatively connecting the head'and said arm with said lever.
7. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory platform arranged thereon, astationary support carried by the base, said support being arranged above the platform and extending across the same, a figure comprising a body-portion secured to said support and a part movably attached to said body-portion, and means for operatively connecting said movable part with said platform.
8. In a toy, the combination of a base, posts rising from opposite sides thereof, a cross bar mounted on said posts, a vibratory platform supported on the base below said cross bar, a figure mounted on said cross bar and having a movable part, and means for operatively connecting said movable part with the platform.
9. In a toy, the combination of a base, a vibratory platform mounted on the base, a figure supported above the platform and having a movable part, means for operatively connecting said movable part with the platform, a horizontal crank shaft supported on the base below the platform, and an operative connection between said crank shaftand the platform.
