Спосіб відбору трансгенних рослин із підвищеним рівнем стійкості до водного стресу включає виділення трансформантів, отриманих в результаті Agrobacterium-опосередкoвaнoї трансформації in vitro та/або in planta, із підвищеним рівнем проліну та стійкістю до осмотичних стресів. При цьому масовий скринінг здійснюють in vitro на середовищі, до якого вносять летальні для звичайних рослин дози маніту, а потім життєздатні варіанти аналізують за рівнем проліну та молекулярно-генетичними маркерами.The method of selection of transgenic plants with high levels of resistance to water stress involves the isolation of transformants resulting from Agrobacterium-mediated transformation in vitro and / or in planta, with increased levels of proline and resistance to osmotic stress.
