The invention relates to water conditioning technology at purification of water of external water supply sources from organic impurities, in particular to combined adsorptive and biological processes for the treatment of water comprising significant amount of organic substances of various nature and properties. The task of the invention is to increase treatment efficiency and operational life of filtering material. The proposed method for water purification from organic impurities consists in the sequential water filtering through dense layer of oxidized activated carbon in the presence of hydrogen peroxide at weight ratio of hydrogen peroxide and water to be treated of 1:(1.5-2.0)10correspondingly, and activated carbon layer, at that the activated and oxidized carbon is used with immobilized microorganisms. The embodiment of the proposed method provides the high efficiency of organic impurities removal from water - up to 97-99 % at simultaneous enhancement of operational life of filtering material.
