Abstract

A method of manufacturing a radiator section includes assembly of flat-oval heat exchange tubes of a specified with finning plates to obtain columns of a radiator section, forming a tubular package by combining the columns within the tube boxes with connection of side shields and soldering heat exchange tubes to the tube boxes, soldering the tube boxes to the headers and the heat exchange tubes with the finning plates, leakage and water flow time testing of a section, and painting, marking and packaging. First are manufactured the heat exchange tubes from blanks of a certain section by local deformation of their outer surfaces to obtain the projections of hemispherical shape on their inner surfaces. The required amount of heat exchange tubes is degreased and subject to thermal tinning with preliminary plugging the ends of each tube and isolating its surface at both ends for a distance of 10-15 mm by mounting with interference of steel plugs. Then the finning plates are manufactured, while on the surfaces of the finning plates predominantly from one side the stamped recesses of arbitrary configuration are additionally made. Before assembly of the tube package the tube boxes are connected to the reinforcement boards with rivets. After brazing the heat exchange tubes to the tube boxes a tube package with installed side shields pre-painted from the inside by a heat-resistant paint is sintered in a furnace under 230-300 °C for 5-15 min followed by welding of headers. Leakage test of assembled structure is conducted with compressed air under the pressure of 0.8 MPa.
