Abstract

The invention relates to steel industry - namely, to the method for reduction of continuous cast blooms or billets in liquid-solid state. A method of reduction of blooms or billets is carried out in stands in-series located along their length in the area of final solidification, in two stages: at the first stage the blooms or billets are reduced by rolls of the first row shifted relative to each other in horizontal plane at an angle of 2-6 °, in the central areas on their width, which is equal to the width of the liquid phase, with the degree of reduction 0.6-1.2 and in the end areas - with the degree of reduction not less than 50 % from central areas, and at the second stage the previously partially deformed end areas are reduced by the cylindrical rolls of the second row with the degree of reduction, which is equal to the difference between the deformation of central and end areas at the first stage.
