The invention relates to the branch of powder metallurgy, in particular to the method of producing the atomized dispersion-hardened copper-based powder. A method of producing atomized dispersion-hardened copper-based powder includes production of fusion of the mixture of copper and admixtures, atomization of produced fusion, moreover the admixtures are used, which are limitedly dissolved in the fusion, for example an alloy of system Fe-Сr-С, in amount of 3-10 per cent by weight and atomization of the fusion is carried out at a temperature that is by 50-150 °C higher than the melting point of admixtures after their complete melting at constant mixing. A coating flux may be applied on the surface of copper fusion. The invention provides for uniformity of distribution of dispersed inclusions in each particle of atomized powder and, accordingly, obtaining structural composite copper-based materials with operating characteristics, which exceed the existing analogs.
