Abstract

A method of propagating black currants involves procuring cuttings, planting thereof into prepared soil. The cuttings with two top apical leaves are procured in summer period from shoots up to coming thereof into the dormancy state, planted and regularly watered for 6...10 days by small portions of water. In doing so the time of the procurement of the cuttings is determined by means of cutting off15...20 cm of the apex on a maternal bush, and if one of the branches, which a cutting is cut off from, apical buds are developed in the course of 5-6 days, then the cuttings for planting are procured for 2...3 days.
