The proposed high-voltage switchgear contains circuit breakers and disconnecting switches, main connecting buses, and switching units for connecting transformers and power lines to the corresponding connecting buses. Each switching unit contains additional connecting buses as well as circuit breakers, disconnecting switches of the circuit breakers, and additional bus isolating switches designed for coupling the additional connecting buses with the main connecting buses. Both the bus systems are used in operation of the switchgear. The circuit breaker of each switching unit, which is connected to one of the bus system via the corresponding disconnecting switch, is also connected to the other bus system via the additional bus isolating switch. By this means the switching unit is always connected to one of the bus systems via the corresponding disconnecting switch, resulting in decreasing the probability of power supply interruption caused by a fault at one of power lines or transformers.
