Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the qualitative and quantitative composition of composite additives for liquid mainly motor fuels, for example: gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene and their arbitrary combinations. In cases of using composite fuels, which, along with the liquid part, contain an addition of natural gas (methane) and/or liquefied petroleum gas (propane and/or butane), such additives can be introduced into the liquid component before mixing it with the specified gases.
Additives are expendable materials and are intended: first of all, to compensate for the wear of parts of the cylinder-piston group (hereinafter - CPG) of carburetor and diesel internal combustion engines (hereinafter - DVZ) and, especially, cylinder liners, with a corresponding increase in the degree of compression (compression) fresh charges of fuel mixtures and a decrease in the specific fuel consumption per unit of vehicle mileage or per unit of output power of the internal combustion engine, to increase the resistance of gasoline-based fuel mixtures to detonation with a corresponding reduction in wear
Internal combustion engine, to reduce the specific consumption of liquid fuel per conventional unit (for example, 100 km) of vehicle mileage or per unit of heat output, as well as, as a result of improving the combustion conditions of fuel mixture charges, to reduce the toxicity of exhaust by such components as CO, CH and MOH - for all types of fuels and for soot - for diesel fuels and kerosene.
Technical level
The urgent and massive need for such composite additives is due to: firstly, the need to increase the motor resource of working internal combustion engines with a reduction in costs for their repair or replacement; secondly, the growing shortage of oil, which is a non-renewable natural resource, and, accordingly, the need to reduce at least the specific consumption of petroleum products used in transport and in other fields of technology (for example: for the production of electricity by diesel generators, for the compression of gases by compressors, which are equipped with internal combustion engines, for heating residential premises in winter, etc.); thirdly, the obvious need to reduce costs for environmental protection and, especially, to reduce the volume of toxic emissions into the atmosphere.
Taking into account the above, it is necessary that composite additives: should be as simple as possible in composition and therefore generally available at a price; would practically exclude pollution of the environment by residual amounts of additive materials or products of their chemical transformations in internal combustion engine cylinders; could be freely introduced into liquid fuels based on petroleum products with arbitrary chemical composition, viscosity and moisture and excluded any special precautions during their manufacture, storage, transportation and use.
Separate fulfillment of the specified requirements is not very difficult. However, the attempts of their comprehensive implementation known to us have so far been unsuccessful.
А.,Indeed, for a long time, to compensate for the wear of machine parts, anti-interaction lubricants containing deliberately introduced "pollutants" in the form of finely dispersed metal particles, for example, in the form of pure copper or anti-friction alloys such as brass or bronze based on it, were proposed (1. Such lubricants enter into mass transfer processes with the near-surface layers of the metal and, as a result of the deposition of impurities contained in them, "heal" microdefects that occur on the surface of the corresponding parts in the so-called "friction pairs".
However, these lubricants have not been widely used due to a significant change in the rheological properties of modified lubricants, the difficulty of obtaining and introducing finely dispersed metal particles into them, the low rate of mass transfer, the practical impossibility of their use in internal combustion engine cylinders above the oil-removal rings, and relative high cost.
54-57).Attempts at anti-friction modification of the near-surface layers of metal in friction pairs by introducing organometallic compounds into lubricants, which are capable of mass exchange with the metal of parts that need protection from wear, have also found very limited application only in friction pairs with high contact pressure, for example, in gears (V. L. Lashkhi et al. Tin-organic production of alkylphenols - anti-wear additives to lubricating oils / Chemistry and technology of fuels and oils, 1977, Me4, p. 54-57).
But neither lubricants with admixtures of finely dispersed metal particles (including alloys) nor lubricants with organometallic compounds can be effectively used in internal combustion engines, because their introduction into the cylinder heads, where the compression stroke ends and the combustion of fuel mixtures begins, is excluded, and in other areas of the walls of the cylinder liners - problematic. It can be added that such lubricants, when used in internal combustion engines, practically do not participate in combustion processes and are unable to influence them either as anti-detonators or as catalysts.
д.), і численні металоорганічні сполуки, наприклад: тетраетилолово, диетилселен, диетилтелур, тетракарбоніл нікеля, хлористий тетраетилесвинець, пентакарбоніл заліза, тетраетил-свинець (ТЕС) і метилциклопентадієнілтрикарбонілманган (МЦПТКМ).Anti-knock additives to liquid motor fuels, such as: aromatic compounds (benzene and its derivatives, such as aniline, xylidine, diphenylamine, etc.), and numerous organometallic compounds, for example: tetraethyltin, diethylselenium, diethyltellurium, nickel tetracarbonyl, tetraethyllead chloride, iron pentacarbonyl, tetraethyl lead (TES) and methylcyclopentadienyltricarbonylmanganese (MCPTCM ).
3927992, 4207078, 4240801.The most effective of them were iron pentacarbonyl, TES, MCPTCM and other organo-manganese compounds known from О5 Raiepiv 2818417, 2839552, 3126351. At the same time, an increase in the completeness of combustion of heavy hydrocarbon fuels in the presence of organo-manganese compounds was also revealed according to 05 Raiepiv 3927992, 420720780, 41 .
However, the combustion products of such compounds in internal combustion engine cylinders have the form of solid particles, which must be effectively removed to avoid intensive wear of CNG parts.
It was possible to practically solve this problem acceptably only for TPPs by introducing halogen-hydrocarbons into the "ethyl liquid". Therefore, it is TPP, the volatile combustion products of which are removed from the cylinders of internal combustion engines with exhaust gases (with corresponding pollution of the atmosphere, soil and surface water), for several decades served as the main additive to gasoline for carburetor internal combustion engines. However, the increase in environmental standards forced some countries to abandon TPP altogether, and in most countries to significantly reduce its use.
Accordingly, the problem of complex modification of liquid motor fuels formulated above remains very relevant.

From this list, it is possible to extract such a variant of the compositional additive for liquid motor fuels, which involves the use of a combination of at least one copper compound with an ionic bond with at least one zinc compound also with an ionic bond (however, under the conditions, firstly, of complete exclusion lead and, secondly, the mandatory use of other organic ingredients).
The known additives are usually intended for preliminary (before filling the tanks) introduction into the fuel and, according to the known inventive idea, should provide an "improved combustion structure", i.e. catalyze the combustion of hydrocarbons "in the vapor phase" with equalization of the temperature field in the cylinders of the internal combustion engine and a corresponding reduction in the formation of CO , SN and MOH.
However, the possibility of compensating for the wear and tear of internal combustion engine parts is absolutely not taken into account and not disclosed.
The essence of the invention
Taking this into account, the invention is based on the task of creating such a composite additive to liquid fuels by refining the recipe, which, along with the catalytic action in the combustion processes, would provide compensation for the wear of parts of the CNG internal combustion engine and, especially, cylinder liners with the stabilization of the compression ratio in new ones and its increase in worn out internal combustion engines and a corresponding reduction in specific fuel consumption, an increase in specific power and a reduction in exhaust toxicity.
This problem is solved by the fact that the composite additive for liquid fuels, which contains at least one copper compound with an ionic bond and at least one zinc compound with an ionic bond, according to the invention contains 0.03-0.70 mol of copper per one mole zinc and additionally contains at least one organic substance that ensures the dissolution of metal salts in fuel hydrocarbons.
The use as sources of copper and zinc of only compounds with an ionic bond, i.e., salts that can dissolve in the minor admixture of water usually present in hydrocarbon fuels, with the addition of at least one organic substance that contributes to such dissolution, allows the introduction of fresh fuel into each successive charge mixtures of trace amounts of ions of brass-forming chemical elements (with a normal consumption of salts of 0.5-2.0 g/t of fuel). Further, in each working cycle of the internal combustion engine, metal ions are regenerated inside the cylinders as a result of their chemical interaction with motor fuel, and a mixture of neutral copper and zinc atoms is formed. Jointly deposited on the cylinder liners, which are cooled on almost the entire surface of their contact with the pistons, this mixture gradually forms (it is then "automatically" supported in thickness) a microfilm of brass that compensates for wear. It should be especially noted that when using leaded gasoline, the majority of lead is part of the brass that is formed, increasing its antifriction properties. Such "current repair" of cylinder liners directly during operation
DVZ has a favorable effect on the compression ratio with a corresponding increase in specific power and a decrease in specific fuel consumption, which are more noticeable the longer the additive is used.
Since the additive is introduced into the liquid fuel immediately before mixing with air (and, if provided, with the gaseous fuel additive), it is uniformly dispersed throughout the volume of fresh charges of the fuel mixture. Therefore, the ions of the specified metals, before reduction and deposition in atomic form, have time to show catalytic activity during the initiation and progress of combustion in the entire volume of each of these charges. In this way, the temperature field is leveled in the combustion chambers, which reduces the amount of MOX, which are usually formed at peak temperatures, and facilitates the combustion of fuel hydrocarbons to non-toxic CO" with a corresponding reduction in the toxicity of the exhaust as a whole.
The first additional difference is that the specified organic substance is selected from the group consisting of oxyquinoline, cupferone, neocupferone and an arbitrary complexone selected from a plurality of aminopolycarboxylic acids. This provides the specified advantages of the additive according to the invention in arbitrary fuel mixtures.
Hereinafter, the term "mole" in relation to the metal ingredients of an additive means the amount of the corresponding metal in kilograms numerically equal to its atomic weight, and in relation to additives of the oxyquinoline type - the amount of the corresponding substance in kilograms numerically equal to its molecular weight.
All these mole ratios are hereafter given for the pure metals without taking into account the anionic or cationic or oxide form in which they are present in additives.
The second additional difference is that these compounds are selected from the group of salts, which consists of copper and zinc formates, acetates, oxalates, tartrates and sulfates of copper and zinc, which are the most available on the market and, except for sulfate anions, are completely utilized in diesel engines.
The third, additional to the first and second, difference is that the additive additionally contains at least one tin compound with an ionic or covalent bond, while 0.16-0.40 moles of tin are added to one mole of copper. This provides the prerequisites for the deposition of tin-like ("bronze-like") brass with increased antifriction properties and, accordingly, with the enhancement of the specified technical effects.
The fourth, additional to all the previous ones, is that the specified compound is selected from the group consisting of formates, acetates, tartrates and sulfates and tin dioxide, which are the most available on the market and (except for sulfate anions) are completely utilized in DVZ . At the same time, amphoteric 5pO2 gradually changes into a water-soluble form due to interaction with residual moisture and microadmixtures of acids in the fuel.
The fifth, additional to all the previous ones, is that the additive additionally contains at least one lead compound with an ionic bond, while 0.008-0.010 moles of lead are added to one mole of copper. This additive to copper-zinc or to tin brass is especially desirable for diesel engines, the reliability of starting and stability of which directly depend on a high degree of compression. Indeed, it is in diesel engines that the "cylinder liner - piston rings" friction pair works in the most rigid mode, which can be weakened by leaded brasses without a drop in the compression ratio.
The sixth, additional to all previous, withdrawal is that the specified compound is selected from the group consisting of formates, acetates, oxalates and tartrates of lead, which (especially the acetate) are available on the market and are almost completely disposed of during combustion.
The seventh, additional to all the previous ones, the exception is that the additive additionally contains at least one compound with an ionic bond, which includes a metal selected from the group consisting of molybdenum, tungsten, vanadium, nickel, silver and zirconium, while 0.010-0.32 mol of molybdenum, and/or 0.010-0.22 mol of tungsten, and/or 0.020-0.50 mol of vanadium, and/or 0.004-0.40 mol of nickel, and/or 0.004 -0.115 mol of silver, and/or 0.005-0.400 mol of zirconium.
The separate or joint introduction of these metals in addition to copper and zinc (and, if necessary, to tin and/or lead) allows you to modify the anti-friction properties and wear resistance of the coatings in a wide range, which compensate for the wear of the cylinder liners.

Further, the essence of the invention is explained by recommendations for the selection of raw materials, a description of the manufacturing method and examples of specific compositions of composite additives, recommendations for their practical application and the results of tests.
д.) The already mentioned formates, acetates, oxalates and tartrates of copper, zinc, tin and lead can be used for the production of specific composite additives according to the invention. Other salts of these metals with inorganic (for example: nitrate or chloride) and organic (for example: propionate, butyrate, etc.) anions can be taken.
Molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium are preferably added to the composition of additives in the form of anions MoO4", HL/O4" and Moz", which are part of well-known sodium, potassium or ammonium salts, which naturally does not limit the possible choice.
