Abstract

The method for hemolymphatic massage provides for revealing the problem areas in the patients followed by the sequential massage procedures. Each procedure provides for the manual treatment affecting the lymphatic areas of the patient's body. Two stages of the massage procedures are performed. Otherwise, one-stage procedures are alternated with two-stage procedures. The two-stage procedures are performed taking into account the functional unity between the arterio-venous system and the lymphatic system. One stage consists in affecting the arterio-venous system, while the other stage affects lymphatic system. Such two-stage procedures result in generation of hemolymphatic drainage. The stage affecting lymphatic system is performed after or before the stage affecting the arterio-venous system. At the stage affecting the arterio-venous system, the massage techniques are directed upwards from below starting from the fingers, except for the facial massage, where the massage techniques are performed in the opposite direction from the forehead to the clavicular area. At the stage affecting the lymphatic system, first the techniques affecting the lymphatic nodes are performed followed by the techniques affecting the capillaries, the postcapillaries, and the lymphatic vessels following the direction of the lymph flow. Each localized lymphatic area is massaged separately. Each massage procedure comprises the major and the auxiliary massage techniques. When the massage is performed, the wave-like pressing of the massage areas are carried out to imitate the pulsation of the vessels. In addition, the pulse movements or/and the compression movements, or/and undulating movements are used in the course of the massage. When the massage affecting the lymphatic system is performed, the techniques including the soft, penetrating, and slow movements are used.
