Description
The useful model belongs to the field of development of composite materials based on abrasive powders, in particular glass-metal composites, which would be adhesively active to metal binders and used for manufacturing abrasive-cutting tools based on them.
One of the approaches for the practical implementation of such composite materials is the creation of superhard material (HTM) powder coatings that play the role of a transition layer between the abrasive grains and the bond of the abrasive layer of the tool, and have high adhesion both to the surface of the abrasive and to the bonds adhesion, which helps to increase the strength of fixing the abrasive grains in the matrix of the tool.
The metallized diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN) tool is successfully used in processing hard and brittle materials. At the same time, when processing viscous materials with such a tool, especially without the use of lubricating and cooling fluids, such as iron-carbon alloys, hard alloys together with steel in the presence of a viscous solder between them, the processing productivity decreases, the temperature in the cutting zone increases and , as a result, burns (thermal damage) are formed on the treated surface. A tool made of metallized SVM powders on a polymer bond when processing iron-carbon alloys has high wear resistance, but at the same time, deposits and other surface defects are formed on the treated surface, which lead to a lack of products, especially when the tool works without the use of MOR.
One of the well-known methods of metallization of diamonds is the chemical coating method, which consists in the recovery of metals from salt solutions (Rai. 4381227 OBA, MKY C25015/00). Nagoid, Mopop Sotrapu. - Publ. 26.04.83). This method does not require significant energy costs and allows obtaining fairly dense metal films on NTM powders, but has low productivity. Chemically metallized NTM powders can serve as a conductive layer during the electrolytic deposition of metals, such as nickel, and provide a minimum thickness of the metal coating. Electrolytic nickel is an adhesive coating that binds the diamond grains to the metal bond in the tool. However, the nickel in the coating does not differ much in terms of the adhesion strength to the diamond from the adhesion of the metal bond to the diamond,
Since the connection is usually made of a copper-nickel alloy.
В.,The closest to the claimed useful model is the described method of applying a multilayer coating on synthetic diamonds and diamond-containing composite materials with increased adhesion to the metal bond in tools or products, which consists of an outer tungsten layer and inner tungsten carbide layers (Russian Patent No. 2238922 IPC "C04841/85, C30831/06, publ. 20.02.2004 (Adhesive composite coating on diamonds, diamond-containing materials and the method of its application"/ Lahotkin Yu.V.,
П.)). Kuzmin V.P.)). To apply a tungsten coating, the substrate is placed in an environment of tungsten powder and a charge containing fluorine in the amount of 0.003-5 95 (wt.) of the weight of the inert filler and heated to a temperature of 700-1200 "C. To apply a tungsten carbide coating, the substrate is placed in reactor with a vacuum of 10 Pa, tungsten hexafluoride and hydrogen are fed, the substrate is kept for the required time and the substrate is annealed at the temperature required to obtain tungsten carbide.
Недоліком даного рішення є висока енергоємність, так як спосіб нанесення багатошарового покриття вимагає залучення вакуумного обладнання та відносно високих температур формування покриттів (7000-1200 "С).The advantage of the described method in comparison with the electrolytic method is to obtain powders with a firmly fixed metal film on the surface of the diamond grain. The known solution and the claimed useful model have common features in the maximally close result obtained when applying coatings - high adhesion both to the surface of the abrasive and to the metal bond. In the known solution, this is achieved by the fact that during sintering, the metallization process is accompanied by a chemical reaction - carbide formation at the diamond-metal interface. The disadvantage of this solution is high energy consumption, since the method of applying a multilayer coating requires the involvement of vacuum equipment and relatively high temperatures of coating formation (7000-1200 "С).
There is also a known method of obtaining a composite for the manufacture of tools from superhard materials, which includes mixing abrasive powder and glass powders with subsequent sintering and granulation, and as glass powders, glass of two systems - lead and silicate - with the introduction of dispersed fillers of refractory TiO oxides into their composition" , AI2Oz. Kyiv: ISM named after V.N. Bakulya, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. 2010. - Vyshp. 13. - P. 465-470), which not only determine the high wear resistance of the NTM tool on the polymer bond, but also provide increased quality of the machined surface, high productivity when processing viscous materials, in contrast to the NTM tool without coating. Diamond powders and SVM with glass coating are aggregates consisting of 5-20 grains bound together by adhesively active glass.
The retention strength of NTM powders with a glass coating in the cutting layer of the tool should be determined by the adhesion of the bond between the tool and the coating, and the coating with the NTM grains. Only such a combination of adhesion at the contact boundaries will ensure a strong fixation of the NTM grains in the working layer of the tool.
In the world, tools made of diamonds and SVM are produced on metal and organic bonds. NTM powders brought into contact with glass coating, as a rule, have insufficient adhesion to metals - binding tools with NTM, therefore, during its operation, units that have not yet been activated can break out of the connection. One of the ways to increase the adhesion of glass coating to metals, as well as the mechanical strength of vitreous coatings and materials, is to apply various metal coatings to them. Applying different coatings to glass materials allows you to give them the necessary properties. This allows to reduce the wear of the tool when processing different materials and provides new properties of the tool made on the basis of such a glass composite.
Metal connections usually contain powders of copper, tin, antimony, iron, cobalt and others with the addition of non-metallic fillers of various functional purposes. Studies of the contact interaction of melts of silicate multicomponent glasses with 3 metals are rare, mainly as recommendations for the technology of obtaining compounds of metals and their alloys with silicate glasses. The above metals do not have high adhesion to glass, which are used for coating diamond and SVM powders. Due to the lack of chemical interaction between the phases at the tool manufacturing temperatures, sufficiently strong fixation of the aggregates in the metal matrix of the tool is not ensured.
The basis of the useful model is the task of strengthening the defective surfaces of abrasive powders, their compositions, and at the same time improving their adhesion to the metal bonds of the abrasive tool. These problems are solved by applying NTM powders with
With glass coating of metal coatings, in which the mechanical properties of abrasive powders do not change, but the mechanical strength of vitreous coatings or their compositions increases. In this way, we get composite coatings that include non-metallic and metallic components and differ from pure glass coatings by strong fixing of aggregates in the metal matrix and increased adhesion to the metal bond of the abrasive-cutting tool with high operational characteristics.
In a useful model, the task is to develop a method of applying thin metal films to NTM powders with a glass coating, which allow to give them the necessary properties and ensure new properties of the tool made on the basis of such a glass-metal composite.
The specified problem is solved by the fact that in the method of manufacturing an abrasive-containing glass-metal composite for instrumental purposes, which includes applying a glass coating to cubic boron nitride powders (aggregates), according to a useful model, they are additionally coated with a titanium coating by the diffusion method in an inert medium at a temperature of 700- 730 "C for 25-30 min., while the mass of titanium deposited on the glass aggregates is 2.2-5.595 (mass), then copper is applied layer by layer to the glass aggregates with a titanium coating by the electrochemical method according to the following scheme: - degreasing of the aggregates in 0.5 in the 9th solution of surface-active substance (surfactant) "I AB5"; - washing; - pickling (activation) in the 5th U5 solution of sulfuric acid (Hg5Ox); - metallization of the aggregates is carried out with copper in the electrolyte solution of the following composition (in g/ l): - copper sulfate - 20025; - sulfuric acid - 50-43 with the following mode parameters: - electrolyte solution temperature 20-25 C; pH-2.0-2.5; current 0.5 A; - electrolysis time 1 hour 50 min., and to prevent oxidation of copper-plated granules, they are depassivated in a solution of the following composition (g/l): - chromic anhydride - 403; - sulfuric acid - 5-1 at a temperature of 18-25 with a holding time of 1-3 s; the same degree of metallization of aggregates with copper
А т. And so. b is calculated according to the formula b, where P is the degree of metallization, 90; b - initial mass of granules, g; C is the mass of coated granules, g.
One of the aspects of this solution is the application of a titanium coating on CBM powders with a glass coating, which helps to increase their mechanical strength, and will also inhibit the formation and growth of microcracks that arise due to tensile stresses in the glass and lead to a decrease in the strength of the unit as a whole.
Diffusion application of titanium was carried out in an inert environment at a temperature of 700-730 C for 25-30 minutes. in a special container filled with a charge of glass-coated SSBM powders, titanium hydride and halide (ammonium chloride). The ratio of the mass of NTM to the mass of titanium hydride does not significantly affect the mass of titanium that was deposited. The ratio of the mass of the halide to the mass of titanium hydride has a significant influence on this indicator. When increasing the content of halide in the total mass of the charge relative to titanium hydride, the mass of titanium deposited on the glass aggregates was increased from 2.2 to 5.5 95 (mass). To increase the mass of titanium, the metallization process can be repeated without deteriorating the quality of the coating.
Metal coatings made of adhesively active metals can oxidize during the storage of aggregates and during the manufacture of the tool. Acidification of the coating material can lead to a decrease in the strength of the contact areas. In this regard, it is advisable to apply copper layer by layer on adhesive-active coatings by the electrochemical method.
за наступною схемою: - знежирення гранул в 0,5 9о-ному розчині ПАР "І АВ5"; - промивання; - декапування (активація) в 5 95-ому розчині сірчаної кислоти (Н25Ох); - металізація агрегатів міддю в розчині електроліту наступного складу (в г/л): " мідний купорос - 2005; " сірчана кислота - 50.3.Applying electrochemical copper to titanium metallized glass aggregates was done at a pH of the electrolyte solution of 2.0-2.5; electrolyte temperature - 20-25 "C; current Ia-0.5 A; electrolysis time 1 hour 50 minutes according to the following scheme: - degreasing of granules in a 0.5 9% solution of surfactant "I AB5"; - washing; - pickling (activation) in 5 95 sulfuric acid solution (H25Ox) - metallization of aggregates with copper in an electrolyte solution of the following composition (in g/l): "copper sulfate - 2005; sulfuric acid - 50.3.

Applying NTM powders with a glass coating of copper coating gives composite coatings that include non-metallic and metallic components and differ from pure glass coatings by 1.5 times increased physical and mechanical characteristics, stronger fixing of aggregates in the metal matrix and increased adhesion to the metal bond.
The effectiveness of the useful model is confirmed by scientific and experimental research conducted at the ALKON Scientific Research Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
Суть рішення пояснюється кресленнями, на яких зображено: на Фіг. 1 - РЕМ-зображення структури зламу зразка, що складається з металевої зв'язки М1- 10 зі склоагрегатами з кубоніту марки КР 125/100, металізованих міддю; на Фіг. 2 - зображено діаграму впливу металізації склоагрегатів порошків кубоніту КР 125/1100 металевими покриттями на їх міцність, де: 1 - порошок кубоніту, покритий склом в системі РЬО-7пО-В2Оз3-5102; 2 - порошок кубоніту, покритий сумішами скла в системах МагО-СаО-ТіО2-В2Оз3-510: та РБО- 2п0-8203-5105;The essence of the decision is explained by the drawings, which show: in Fig. 1 - SEM image of the fracture structure of a sample consisting of a metal connection M1-10 with glass aggregates made of cubonite of the KR 125/100 brand, metallized with copper; in Fig. 2 - shows the diagram of the effect of metallization of glass aggregates of KR 125/1100 cubonite powders with metal coatings on their strength, where: 1 - cubonite powder covered with glass in the PHO-7pO-B2Oz3-5102 system; 2 - cubonite powder coated with glass mixtures in the systems MagO-CaO-TiO2-B2Oz3-510: and RBO-2p0-8203-5105;

X-ray microspectral analysis of the elements at the boundary of the titanium-metallized cubonite glass aggregate - copper coating - metal bond records the microdiffusion of bond elements (AI, Si, 7p, Zp) into the glass aggregate and glass elements into the metal bond. At the edge of the glass powder coating
A thin copper coating film (see Fig. 1) can be seen in the SVM, which ensures good adhesion of the glass-metal composite with a metal bond due to diffusion processes, which lead to interaction in the system with the formation of new crystalline phases and ensure an increase in adhesion in the contact zone .
Increasing the adhesion at the contact boundary of the glass-metal coating with the metal bond and increasing the strength of the glass aggregates due to the application of a thin metal film on them ensures a strong fixation of the glass-metal aggregates in the cutting layer of the tool and thus increases the wear resistance of the wheels made on their basis.
The results of aggregate strength tests (destructive load on the grain) showed that glass aggregates metallized with titanium and copper have a strength higher than the original NTM powders with glass coating (see Fig. 2). If the strength of aggregates from SVM powders covered with glass mixtures in the MagOo-CaO-TiO"-B2Oz3-5102 and PBO-2pO-B2Oz-510O" systems (2) is 2 times higher than that formed from pure glass of the PBO-2pO-B2Oz system -510О:" (1), then metallized aggregates have higher strength than glass aggregates made of glass mixtures. Covering glass aggregates with diffusion titanium (3) leads to an increase in the strength of the aggregates by 1.2 times. Further metallization of titanium-coated glass aggregates with copper (4) increases their strength by 1.5 times.
Glass-metal coatings play the role of a transition layer between the abrasive grains and the bond and have high adhesion both to the surface of the abrasive and to the bond, which helps to increase the strength of the abrasive grains in the tool matrix.
1, 2 відповідно).To determine the operational characteristics of the developed glass-metal composites for instrumental use, grinding wheels of the form 12A2-45 125 x 5x3 x 32 3 were made with cubonite powder of the KR 125/100 brand, at a 100 95th concentration of the powder in the abrasive layer on a metal bond M1-10 , which were tested when grinding high-speed steel РОМ5 without cooling and with cooling (see Tables 1, 2, respectively).
Grinding wheels were tested under the following processing modes: wheel rotation speed - 15 m/s, longitudinal feed - 0.3-2 m/min, transverse feed - 0.05 mm/stroke.
В процесі дослідження визначались наступні експлуатаційні характеристики процесу шліфування: різальна здатність круга (мм3/хв.), відносні витрати кубоніту (мг/г), ефективна потужність шліфування (кВт), шорсткість обробленої поверхні за параметром Ва (мкм).During the research, the following operational characteristics of the grinding process were determined: cutting capacity of the wheel (mm3/min), relative consumption of cubonite (mg/g), effective grinding power (kW), roughness of the treated surface according to the Ba parameter (μm).
1, 2.The characteristics of the abrasive layer of the wheels and the results of tests when grinding high-speed steel ROeM5 without cooling and with cooling are presented in table. 1, 2.
A study of the operational characteristics of the developed glass-metal composites for instrumental purposes showed that the glass-metal copper coating provides an increase in the wear resistance of wheels on a metal bond when grinding hard-to-process materials without cooling by 1.5 times compared to ordinary glass coating and by 2.3 times in compared to serial analogues (without coating), and when working with cooling 1.6 and 2.8 times, respectively, due to increased strength of aggregates and increased adhesion at the contact boundary

Optimizing the technological parameters of obtaining grinding tools from NTM allows us to recommend for productive grinding of high-speed steel of the RbM5 brand both without cooling and with cooling - grinding wheels from SVM on a metal connection M1-10 with a glass-metal copper coating.
