Спосіб очистки йодиду цезію включає обробку насиченого розчину йодиду цезію осаджувачем домішок, взятим з надлишком, видалення із розчину продуктів взаємодії осаджувача з домішками у лужному середовищі, фільтрування розчину, його кристалізацію в кислому середовищі та висушування. При цьому обробку насиченого розчину йодиду цезію осаджувачем здійснюють у нейтральному середовищі, як осаджувач використовують металічний магній, а видалення продуктів взаємодії осаджувача з домішками проводять розчином гідроксиду цезію.A method for purifying cesium iodide involves treating a saturated solution of cesium iodide with an impurity precipitate, removing from the solution the products of the interaction of the precipitant with impurities in an alkaline medium, filtering the solution, crystallizing it in acidic medium and drying. The treatment of the saturated solution of cesium iodide with the precipitator is carried out in a neutral environment, as the precipitator used metal magnesium, and the removal of the products of interaction of the precipitant with impurities is carried out with a solution of cesium hydroxide.
