Abstract

The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the construction of cooling system of metallurgical unit. The system comprises a cooling section consisting of a cooling zone with cooling elements, which are connected to inlet and outlet manifolds, tank disposed above the outlet manifolds, the circulation pump, which is connected with the suction line pipe to the tank and the pressure main with inlet manifolds of the cooling zone, the outlet pipelines, which are connected with outlet collectors to each cooling zone, a device for water supplying in the cooling system, which is connected with relay ladder logic system to the water level sensor in the tank, a device for pressurization gas in the tank and a heat exchanger. At that the system is equipped with a common distributing header connected with the pressure main and with inlet manifolds of each cooling zone, and outlet manifolds of each cooling zone are connected to a tank with discharge pipelines, the outputs of which are located above the normal water level in the tank. A general distributing header is divided by the stop valves on the suction section and pressure section. The suction section is connected to the circulating pump and the tank, and the pressure section is connected to the pressure main and with inlet manifolds of each cooling zone. The tank is equipped with a branch pipe for steam discharge, on which the stop valve is disposed. The invention provides increased reliability and efficiency of cooling metallurgical unit during normal operation mode as well as in emergency mode during a power cutoff.
