The method for managing the patient treated with diaphragmoplasty for diaphragm relaxation comprises the therapeutic exercises including the respiratory exercises prior to and after surgery, the intravenous infusion therapy in a volume of 1400-1800 mL within the first 36-48 hours postoperatively with crystalloids, the use of antibiotics, namely cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, and semisynthetic penicillins pre- and postoperatively, postoperatieve diet, intravenous Metoclopramide at a dose of 10 mg thrice a day for 3-5 days postoperatively. Preoperatively, the diet is provided, calcium nadroparine is injected in a volume of 0.3 mL once a day subcutaneously in 5 days prior to the surgery and for 7 days following the surgery. The intestine is cleansed using the osmotic laxative for three days preoperatively.
