Abstract

An IOT system comprises a portable router, at lease a LED lamp with a built-in Bluetooth 4.0 module, WIFI, and cloud computing service. The router at least has functions of Bluetooth 4.0 and WIFI. A user can employ the router to scan the nearby LED lamps to fetch their Bluetooth Identification, BTID, and the corresponding RSSI, and then send these data through the WIFI to neighboring gateway or cloud. After computing the collected BTIDs and RSSIs, the positioning information of the user will be sent back to the router or sent to the caregivers. Further more the router can read the measured data from the wearable sensors of the user as well as measured data of the environmental sensors installed in the LED lamp. These measured data combined with the positioning information establish the IOT-based sensor system.
