Abstract

A display device and a control method thereof are provided. The display device includes a display panel, a first light source and a second light source. The first light source is disposed adjacent to a first side of the display panel, and corresponds to a first part display area. The second light source is disposed adjacent to a second side of the display panel, and corresponds to a second part display area, where the first side opposites to the second side. The first light source and a second light source are respectively turned on during a first time period and a second time period, where there is an interval time between the first time period and the second time period.
