Abstract
本發明提供一種發光二極體(LED)顯示裝置,其將每個LED模組分成多個單位模塊,每個單位模塊中的顯示控制器在同一個時間下並行傳輸要處理的影像資料至對應的資料驅動器,且傳輸邏輯訊號至對應的閘極驅動器,以驅動對應的閘極驅動器並導通對應的發光二極體。據此,每個單位模塊處理影像資料的速度將會提升,進而有效提高視覺刷新率。
Description
本發明提供一種發光二極體顯示裝置,特別是關於一種提高視覺刷新率(visual refresh rate)之發光二極體顯示裝置。
現行的發光二極體(LED)顯示裝置應用在大尺寸畫面時,係接合複數個顯示器而排列成矩陣狀的大畫面的顯示裝置,如習知的電視牆,利用數個顯示裝置播放一個完整大畫面的影像,可同時播放許多個相同影像,也可播放許多的不同影像,只需依靠影像處理器處理影像,且傳送至個別之顯示面板來達到。
然而,隨著影像解析度的大幅增加,每個顯示裝置需要處理的影像資料越來越多,導致顯示速度降低,進而影響視覺刷新率。因此,若可以在同一個時間下提升每個顯示裝置處理影像資料的速度,將可以有效提高視覺刷新率。
本發明之目的在於提供一種發光二極體(LED)顯示裝置,其將每個LED模組分成多個單位模塊,每個單位模塊中的顯示控制器在同一個時間下並行傳輸要處理的影像資料至對應的資料驅動器,且傳輸邏輯訊號至對應的閘極驅動器,以驅動對應的閘極驅動器並導通對應的發光二極體。據此,每個單位模塊處理影像資料的速度將會提升,進而有效提高視覺刷新率。
本發明實施例提供一種發光二極體顯示裝置。LED顯示裝
置透過一影像處理器接收一影像資料,且影像資料具有複數個像素。LED顯示裝置包括多個LED模組、一發送器與多個接收器。多個LED模組用以分別顯示至少一部分的影像資料。每個LED模組分成多個單位模塊。每個單位模塊具有多個閘極驅動器、多個資料驅動器與一顯示控制器。且每個閘極驅動器透過一發光二極體連結每個資料驅動器。發送器根據多個LED模組顯示的至少一部分影像資料選擇對應的多個像素,並將所選擇的多個像素分成多個陣列像素組。而多個陣列像素組則分別對應到多個LED模組之多個單位模塊。多個接收器分別耦接於發送器與對應的LED模組之間。每個接收器接收對應LED模組之多個陣列像素組,且分別傳送多個陣列像素組至對應的單位模塊。在每個單位模塊中,顯示控制器儲存對應的陣列像素組與具有一時序關係的多個邏輯訊號組。顯示控制器根據時序關係並行傳輸對應的陣列像素組中的多個像素至多個資料驅動器,且根據時序關係傳輸些邏輯訊號組至多個閘極驅動器,以據此驅動對應的至少一個閘極驅動器並導通對應的至少一個發光二極體。而在每個單位模塊中,顯示控制器根據一外部裝置設定時序關係與陣列像素組中的多個像素之解析度其中之一或其組合。

在下文中,將藉由圖式說明本發明之各種例示實施例來詳細描述本發明。然而,本發明概念可能以許多不同形式來體現,且不應解釋為限於本文中所闡述之例示性實施例。此外,圖式中相同參考數字可用以表示類似的元件。
本發明實施例所提供的發光二極體(LED)顯示裝置,其將每個LED模組分成多個單位模塊,以同步處理需顯示在單位模塊上至少一部分的影像資料,進而可增快處理速度。此外,每個單位模塊具有多閘極驅動器、多個資料驅動器與一顯示控制器,且每個閘極驅動器透過一發光二極體連結每個資料驅動器。設置在每個單位模塊中的顯示控制器儲存有需顯示在單位模塊上至少一部分的影像資料與控制閘極驅動器的邏輯訊號組。而每個單位模塊將根據時序關係並行傳輸需顯示在單位模塊上至少一部分的影像資料至對應的資料驅動器,與根據時序關係傳輸邏輯訊號組至對應的閘極驅動器,以驅動對應的閘極驅動器並導通對應的發光二極體。據此,每個單位模塊處理影像資料的速度將會提升,進而有效提高視覺刷新率。以下將進一步介紹本發明揭露之發光二極體顯示裝置。
首先,請參考圖1,其顯示本發明一實施例之發光二極體顯示裝置的示意圖。如圖1所示,LED顯示裝置100透過一影像處理器50接收一影像資料Im。影像資料Im具有複數個像素,以供LED顯示裝置100根據每個像素來顯示影像資料Im。影像處理器50為用來處理影像資料Im,並將影像資料Im轉換為符合LED顯示裝置100的影像格式,以供LED顯示裝置100顯示影像資料Im。在本實施例中,影像處理器50可為平版電腦、電腦伺服器、智慧型手機、影音播放器等影像處理器,本發明對此不作限制。此外,影像處理器50與LED顯示裝置100之間可透過有線(如電線)或無線(如藍芽、紅外線、無線網路)的連結、或
者透過中繼裝置的有線或無線的連結,使得影像處理器50與LED顯示裝置100彼此之間可以進行溝通。
請同時參考圖1與圖2,LED顯示裝置100包括4個LED模組130、150、170、190、一發送器110與4個接收器120、140、160、180。4個LED模組130、150、170、190用來分別顯示至少一部分的影像資料。在本實施例中,LED模組130、150、170與190為分別顯示部分的影像資料,且每個部分的影像資料將可組合成完整的影像資料。舉例來說,如圖3所示,完整的影像資料Im為1920*1080像素資料,且影像資料Im等分成4個部分影像Im1、Im2、Im3與Im4。使得LED模組130、150、170、190分別顯示部分影像Im1、Im2、Im3與Im4。當然,LED模組130、150、170與190亦可根據實際狀況全部顯示完整的影像資料或部分的影像資料,本發明對此不作限制。
每個LED模組130、150、170與190分成多個單位模塊。為了方便說明,以下以LED模組130來作說明。LED模組130分成4個單位模塊BK1、BK2、BK3與BK4,以同步處理需顯示在單位模塊BK1、BK2、BK3與BK4上的部分影像Im1。每個單位模塊BK1、BK2、BK3與BK4具有多個閘極驅動器、多個資料驅動器與一顯示控制器,且每個閘極驅動器透過一發光二極體連結每個資料驅動器。而以下將以單位模塊BK1來作說明。
請同時參考圖4,其顯示本發明一實施例之單位模塊的示意圖。如圖4所示,單位模塊BK1具有4個閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c、136d、4個資料驅動器134a、134b、134c、134d與一顯示控制器132。閘極驅動器136a將分別透過發光二極體LD1、LD2、LD3與LD4連結到資料驅動器134a-134d;閘極驅動器136b將分別透過發光二極體LD5、LD6、LD7與LD8連結到資料驅動器134a-134d;閘極驅動器136c將分別透過發光二極體LD9、LD10、LD11與LD12連結到資料驅動器134a-134d;以及閘極
驅動器136d將分別透過發光二極體LD13、LD14、LD15與LD16連結到資料驅動器134a-134d。
再請回到圖2,發送器110將根據LED模組130、150、170、190顯示的部分影像資料選擇對應的多個像素,並將所選擇的多個像素分成多個陣列像素組。而上述多個陣列像素組將分別對應到LED模組130、150、170、190之單位模塊。承接圖3之例子,發送器110將根據LED模組130、150、170、190顯示的部分影像Im1、Im2、Im3與Im4選擇對應的多個像素(即部分影像Im1、Im2、Im3與Im4中的所有像素),並將所選擇的像素分成16個陣列像素組(即每個部分影像Im1、Im2、Im3與Im4各自分成4個陣列像素組)。而16個陣列像素組將分別對應到LED模組130、150、170、190之單位模塊(例如,屬於部分影像Im1的4個陣列像素組分別對應到LED模組130之單位模塊BK1、BK2、BK3與BK4;屬於部分影像Im2的4個陣列像素組對應到LED模組150之4個單位模塊;屬於部分影像Im3的4個陣列像素組對應到LED模組170之4個單位模塊;以及屬於部分影像Im4的4個陣列像素組對應到LED模組190之4個單位模塊。而在其他實施例中,若使用者欲調整原本顯示在LED模組130、150、170、190中的部分影像資料,發送器110可透過使用者操控一外部裝置(未繪於圖式中)來選擇其他的多個像素,並將所選擇的多個像素分成多個陣列像素組,以在LED模組130、150、170、190中顯示。
4個接收器120、140、160與180分別耦接於發送器110與對應的LED模組130、150、170與190之間。每個接收器120、140、160與180接收對應LED模組130、150、170與190之4個陣列像素組,且分別傳送陣列像素組至對應的單位模塊。以接收器120為例子來作說明,接收器120接收對應LED模組130之4個陣列像素組,且傳送4個陣列像素組至對應的單位模塊
BK1、BK2、BK3與BK4。在本實施例中,每個接收器120、140、160與180可透過有線或無線傳輸裝置(未繪於圖式中)來接收對應LED模組之多個陣列像素組,本發明在此不作限制。
再請同時參考圖2與圖4,並以單位模塊BK1為例子來作說明。值得注意的是,在單位模塊BK1中,顯示控制器132具有一儲存元件133,且儲存有對應的陣列像素組與具有一時序關係的多個邏輯訊號組。在本實施例中,每個邏輯訊號組具有多個數位邏輯,且上述數位邏輯的數量等於每個單位模塊之閘極驅動器的數量。舉例來說,若單位模塊BK1之閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d的數量為4,每個邏輯訊號組則具有4個數位邏輯,以分別控制閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d之開啟與關閉。
因此,顯示控制器132將根據時序關係並行傳輸對應的陣列像素組中的像素至資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d,且根據時序關係傳輸多個邏輯訊號組至閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d,以據此驅動對應的閘極驅動器並導通對應的發光二極體。更進一步來說,當顯示控制器132在某個時間下同時傳送陣列像素組中的像素至資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d與傳送某個邏輯訊號組至閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d時,單位模塊BK1中的每個閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d將根據邏輯訊號組而對應執行開啟與關閉,以導通對應的發光二極體。而發光二極體將根據資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d所接收到的像素來發光。而其他單位模塊之運作與單位模塊BK1之運作相同,故在此不再贅述。
而在每個單位模塊中,顯示控制器132可根據一外部裝置(未繪於圖式中)設定時序關係,以根據實際狀況設定時序關係。此外,顯示控制器132同樣可根據外部裝置(未繪於圖式中)來設定陣列像素組中像素的解析度,如降低每個像素的資料量,以提升儲存元件133的利用率。
由於顯示控制器132為同時傳送陣列像素組中的像素至資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d(即並行傳輸),且並非依序傳送陣列像素組中的像素至資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d(即串行傳輸),故每個單位模塊處理像素的速度將會提升,進而可有效提高視覺刷新率。
此外,在本實施例中,閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d為彼此串接。因此,顯示控制器132將根據時序關係串行傳輸多個邏輯訊號組至閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d。因此,閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d為串接將可減少連接器之數數。而由於邏輯訊號組(即多個數位邏輯)的資料量遠小於陣列像素組中的像素的資料量,故不會影響到視覺刷新率的速度。更進一步來說,顯示控制器132具有一邏輯運算元件135。邏輯運算元件135根據時序關係對陣列像素組與多個邏輯訊號組進行排序(即陣列像素組中的多個像素以及多個邏輯訊號組分別傳送到資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d與閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d的順序),以據此並行傳輸對應的陣列像素組中的多個像素至資料驅動器134a、134b、134c與134d,且以串行傳輸多個邏輯訊號組至閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d。此外,閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d亦可以其他方式設置,使顯示控制器132根據時序關係並行傳輸多個邏輯訊號組至閘極驅動器136a、136b、136c與136d,本發明對此不作限制。
而在其他實施例中,發送器110可根據每個單位模塊之閘極驅動器的數量來設定具有時序關係的多個邏輯訊號組,以據此調整每個邏輯訊號組中的多個數位邏輯,進而可改變每個閘極驅動器的開啟與關閉。
綜上所述,本發明實施例所提出之LED顯示裝置,其將每個LED模組分成多個單位模塊,每個單位模塊中的顯示控制器在同一個時間下並行傳輸陣列像素組中的像素至對應的資料驅
動器,且傳輸邏輯訊號組至對應的閘極驅動器,以驅動對應的閘極驅動器並導通對應的發光二極體。據此,每個單位模塊處理像素的速度將會提升,進而有效提高視覺刷新率。
以上所述僅為本發明之實施例,其並非用以侷限本發明之專利範圍。
Claims (7)
- 一種發光二極體(LED)顯示裝置,透過一影像處理器接收一影像資料,且該影像資料具有複數個像素,該LED顯示裝置包括:複數個LED模組,用以分別顯示至少一部分的該影像資料,每一該LED模組分成複數個單位模塊,每一該單位模塊具有複數個閘極驅動器、複數個資料驅動器與一顯示控制器,且每一該閘極驅動器透過一發光二極體連結每一該資料驅動器;一發送器,根據該些LED模組顯示的該至少一部分影像資料選擇對應的該些像素,並將所選擇的該些像素分成複數個陣列像素組,其中該些陣列像素組分別對應到該些LED模組之該些單位模塊;以及複數個接收器,分別耦接於該發送器與對應的該LED模組之間,每一該接收器接收對應該LED模組之該些陣列像素組,且分別傳送該些陣列像素組至對應的該單位模塊;其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器儲存對應的該陣列像素組與具有一時序關係的複數個邏輯訊號組,該顯示控制器根據該時序關係並行傳輸對應的該陣列像素組中的該些像素至該些資料驅動器,且根據該時序關係傳輸該些邏輯訊號組至該些閘極驅動器,以據此驅動對應的至少一該閘極驅動器並導通對應的至少一該發光二極體;其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器根據一外部裝置設定該時序關係與該陣列像素組中的該些像素之一解析度其中之一或其組合;其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器根據該時序關係串行傳輸該些邏輯訊號組至該些閘極驅動器;其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該些閘極驅動器彼此串接;其中,該顯示控制器在同一時間下並行傳輸對應的該陣列像素組中的該些像素至該些資料驅動器; 其中,每一該邏輯訊號組具有複數個數位邏輯,該些數位邏輯的數量等於每一該單位模塊之該些閘極驅動器的數量。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器根據該時序關係並行傳輸該些邏輯訊號組至該些閘極驅動器。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,該些LED模組分別顯示該部分的影像資料,且每一該部分的影像資料組合成該影像資料。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,該發送器透過該外部裝置選擇對應的該些像素,並將所選擇的該些像素分成複數個陣列像素組。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,該發送器根據每一該單位模塊之該些閘極驅動器的數量設定具有該時序關係的該些邏輯訊號組。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器具有一儲存元件,且對應的該陣列像素組與具有該時序關係的該些邏輯訊號組儲存至該儲存元件。
- 如請求項1所述之發光二極體顯示裝置,其中,於每一該單位模塊中,該顯示控制器具有一邏輯運算元件,該邏輯運算元件根據該時序關係對該陣列像素組與該些邏輯訊號組進行排序,以並行傳輸對應的該陣列像素組中的該些像素至該些資料驅動器,且以串行傳輸該些邏輯訊號組至該些閘極驅動器。
