Description

Light source module

The invention relates to a light source module, and in particular to a light source module having a light guiding rod for uniformly guiding light.

There are more and more products that use light-guide materials as lighting or light sources. One of the conventional designs is to provide a light source at one end of the light guiding rod. When the light source emits light into the light guiding rod, the light guiding design of the light guiding rod guides the light out.

However, the light entering the light guide bar produces different intensities at various locations depending on the distance traveled after entering the light guide bar. For example, it is usually that the light guiding rod of the light source is close to the light source, and the light guiding rod of the light source that is far away from the light source is weak, which causes the light guiding rod to produce uneven light intensity.

The invention relates to a light source module comprising a light guiding rod. The light source module can transmit light entering the light guiding rod more uniformly through the continuous diffusion layer in the light guiding rod and the diffusing portion disposed separately from each other.

According to an aspect of the invention, a light source module is proposed. The light source module includes a light guide bar, a first light source and a second light source. The light guiding rod has a peripheral surface and a corresponding one of the first end and the second end and includes a continuous diffusion layer and a plurality of diffusion portions. The continuous diffusion layer is located on the peripheral surface and between the first end and the second end, and the continuous diffusion layer is used to guide the light out of the light guiding rod. The diffusing portion is separately located on the peripheral surface and located between the first end and the continuous diffusion layer and between the second end and the continuous diffusion layer, and the diffusing portion is configured to guide the light out of the light guiding rod. The first light source and the second light source are respectively disposed adjacent to the first end and the second end for emitting light into the light guide bar. Wherein, the area of the continuous diffusion layer is larger than the laying area of the diffusion parts.

In order to make the above-mentioned contents of the present invention more comprehensible, the preferred embodiments are described below, and the detailed description is as follows:

The following is a description of the preferred embodiments of the present invention. The embodiments of the present invention are intended to be illustrative only and not to limit the scope of the present invention. Furthermore, the illustration of the embodiments also omits unnecessary elements to clearly show the technical features of the present invention.

First embodiment

Please refer to FIG. 1 , which is a schematic diagram of a light source module according to a first embodiment of the present invention. The light source module 100 includes a light guide bar 102, a first light source 104, and a second light source 106. The light guiding rod 102 has a peripheral surface 112 and corresponding first end 114 and second end 116 and includes a continuous diffusion layer 108, a plurality of first diffusion portions 110 and a plurality of second diffusion portions 118. The peripheral surface 112 is the outer surface between the first end 114 and the second end 116 of the light guiding rod 102.

The cross-sectional shape of the light guiding rod 102 may be circular, elliptical or polygonal. In the present embodiment, the cross-sectional shape of the light guiding rod 102 is illustrated by a circular shape. The material of the light guiding rod 102 is, for example, polycarbonate resin (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), glass or other light transmissive material.

The peripheral surface 112 of the light guiding rod 102 can connect the first end 114 and the second end 116. The continuous diffusion layer 108 is located on the peripheral surface 112 and the first diffusion portions 110 and the second diffusion portions 118 are located on the peripheral surface 112 separately from each other.

The first light source 104 and the second light source 106 are respectively disposed adjacent to the first end 114 and the second end 116. The first light source 104 and the second light source 106 are respectively used to emit the light L1 and the light L2 into the light guide bar 102.

The continuous diffusion layer 108 is located substantially in a region of the light guide bar 102 that is further from the light source, such as an intermediate region between the first end 114 and the second end 116. The first diffusion portion 110 is located between the first end 114 and the continuous diffusion layer 108, and the second diffusion portion 118 is located between the second end 116 and the continuous diffusion layer 108. The area of the continuous diffusion layer 108 is larger than the sum of the laying area of the first diffusion part 110 and the laying area of the second diffusion part 118. When the light ray L1 and the light ray L2 contact the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, and the second diffusion portion 118, the structures of the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, and the second diffusion portion 118 cause the light ray L1 and the light ray L2. It is reflected, diffused or diffused and is led out of the light guiding rod 102.

The continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, and the second diffusion portion 118 may be formed by applying. Preferably, but not limited to, the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, and the second diffusion portion 118 may be designed to have a white reflective property, such as polycarbonate (PC), titanium oxide (for example). a combination of TiO 2 ) and cerium oxide (SiO 2 ); or a combination of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), titanium oxide and cerium oxide.

Since the area of the continuous diffusion layer 108 is larger than the sum of the laying area of the first diffusion part 110 and the laying area of the second diffusion part 118, and the continuous diffusion layer 108 is a uniformly coated area in this embodiment, it can be derived. A greater amount of light causes the light in the light guide bar 102 to be farther away from the first light source 104 or the second light source 106 to have a stronger light intensity. Thus, the light intensity of the light guiding rod 102 at each position is relatively uniform.

The manner in which the first diffusion portion 110 and the second diffusion portion 118 are formed has various forms. Hereinafter, the first diffusion portion 110 will be described in detail as an example.

Regarding the distribution density of the first diffusion portion 110, please refer to Fig. 2, which is a top view of the light guiding rod viewed in the direction V1 in Fig. 1. The distribution density of the first diffusion portion 110 from the first end 114 to the continuous diffusion layer 108 is gradually increased or decreased. In this embodiment, the distribution density of the first diffusion portion 110 from the first end 114 to the continuous diffusion layer 108 is gradually increased as an example.

As for the arrangement of the first diffusion portions 110, as shown in Fig. 2, the first diffusion portions 110 may be arranged in a plurality of straight lines S1 which are substantially horizontal to each other. However, this is not to limit the present invention. In another embodiment, the first diffusion portions 110 may also be arranged in a wave shape; or, in other embodiments, the first diffusion portions 110 may be randomly arranged.

The outer shape of each of the first diffusing portions 110 may be circular, polygonal or elliptical in terms of the outer shape of the first diffusing portion 110. However, this is not intended to limit the present invention, and the first diffusing portion 110 may be an outer shape after sand blasting of the light guiding rod 102.

102。As for the size of the first diffusion portion 110, the size of the first diffusion portion 110 is gradually increased from the first end 114 to the continuous diffusion layer 108. However, the first diffusion portion 110 may be gradually reduced in size from the first end 114 to the continuous diffusion layer 108; or the size of the first diffusion portion 110 may be randomly configured. In addition, the first diffusion portion 110 may also be a plurality of separate diffusion structures that are coupled to the light guide bar 102 through a transparent optical adhesive.

In summary, the distribution density, arrangement, shape, and size of the first diffusion portion 110 have various implementations. The actual design may be determined according to the design requirements of the light source module 100. This embodiment does not Any restrictions.

The distribution density, the arrangement, the shape and the size of the second diffusion portion 118 are similar to those of the first diffusion portion 110 disclosed above, and the detailed description thereof will not be repeated.

Second embodiment

Please refer to FIG. 3, which is a front view of a light source module according to a second embodiment of the present invention. The same reference numerals are used in the second embodiment in the same manner as the first embodiment, and details are not described herein again. The second embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the end faces of the light guiding bars 202 of the light source module 200 of the second embodiment have intersecting slopes.

106。Further, the end surface of the first end of the light guiding rod 202 has a first inclined surface 220 and a second inclined surface 222. The joint 228 of the first inclined surface 220 and the second inclined surface 222 is a protruding tip and faces the first light source 104. . The end surface of the second end of the light guiding rod 202 has a third inclined surface 224 and a fourth inclined surface 226. The joint 230 of the third inclined surface 224 and the fourth inclined surface 226 is a protruding tip and faces the second light source 106.

Taking the first inclined surface 220 and the second inclined surface 222 of the first end as an example, the light L1 entering the light guiding rod 202 through the inclined surface is directed to the light guiding rod 202 due to the inclined angle of the first inclined surface 220 and the second inclined surface 222. The center position travels, so that the light L1 is prevented from being refracted out of the light guide bar 202 after entering the light guide bar 202. Thereby, the length of the path of the light ray L1 in the light guiding rod 202 can be increased, so that the light ray L1 has more chance to contact the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110 or the second diffusion portion 118 to uniformly emit light.

In addition, the third inclined surface 224 and the fourth inclined surface 226 of the second end are similar to the first inclined surface 220 and the second inclined surface 222 of the first end, and details are not described herein again.

Although the first end and the second end of the light guiding rod are respectively illustrated by the inclined surface in the embodiment, in other embodiments, at least one of the first end and the second end of the light guiding rod may also be The protruding end faces the arc surface of the light source, and the effect thereof is similar to that of the first inclined surface 220 and the second inclined surface 222 described above, and details are not repeated herein.

Third embodiment

332。Please refer to FIG. 4, which is a front view of a light source module according to a third embodiment of the present invention. In the third embodiment, the same reference numerals are used for the same parts as the first embodiment, and details are not described herein again. The third embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the light source module 300 of the third embodiment further includes a reflective layer 332.

The reflective layer 332 can be a reflective sheet that is entirely attached or coated on the light guiding rod 302 and covers the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, the second diffusion portion 118, and the continuous diffusion layer 108, first. A portion between the diffusion portion 110 and the second diffusion portion 118. Therefore, the present invention is not limited to the present invention. In an embodiment, the reflective layer 332 may cover only the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110, and the second diffusion portion 118 without covering the continuous diffusion layer 108, and the first diffusion. A portion between the portion 110 and the second diffusion portion 118.

Preferably, but not limited to, the reflective layer 332 can be a mirror reflective layer, so that the leakage light L3 passing through the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110 and the second diffusion portion 118 is reflected back into the light guiding rod 302, so that Increasing the length of the path of the light rays L1 and L2 in the light guiding rod 202 gives the light beams L1 and L2 more chance to contact the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110 or the second diffusion portion 118, and then uniformly emit light.

440。Please refer to FIG. 5, which is a schematic diagram of a light source module applied to a desk lamp according to a fourth embodiment of the present invention. In the fourth embodiment, the same reference numerals are used for the same parts as the first embodiment, and details are not described herein again. The fourth embodiment is different from the first embodiment in that the light source module 400 of the fourth embodiment further includes a lamp cover 434 and a reflective layer 440.

The light cover 434 houses the light guide bar 102 of the light source module 400, the first light source 404, and the second light source 406. The lampshade 434 has a first opening 436 and a second opening 438. The light L4 that is led out of the light guiding rod 102 can be emitted from the first opening 436. The second opening 438 exposes at least a portion of the continuous diffusion layer 108, the first diffusion portion 110 and the second diffusion portion 118, thereby dissipating heat generated by the light guiding rod 102.

The reflective layer 440 is disposed on the inner surface of the lamp cover 434 for reflecting the light leaking out of the light guide bar 102 back into the light guide bar 102.

438。Although the lamp cover 434 of the embodiment is exemplified by the second opening 438, in a certain embodiment (not shown), the lamp cover 434 can also omit the second opening 438.

The light source module 400 of the present embodiment can be applied to a lighting device, such as a desk lamp, a street lamp, or other kinds of lighting products. Taking the desk lamp as an example, the light source module 400 can be disposed on a light stand 442, and the light stand 442 and the light source module 400 are combined to form a table lamp.

In combination with the above embodiments, the light source module of the present invention has various uses, and can be used as a light source of a backlight module, a light source of a lighting device, or other products requiring a light source.

The light source module disclosed in the above embodiments of the present invention transmits the light entering the light guiding rod more uniformly through the design of the continuous diffusion layer and the diffusing portions separated from each other in the light guiding rod.

In conclusion, the present invention has been disclosed in the above preferred embodiments, and is not intended to limit the present invention.
