Abstract

An anode rod wear detection device for an electrical storage water heater comprises a power supply unit, a detection circuit and an alarm. The detection circuit is capable of receiving a protection current generated between an inner shell and the anode rod and a work current generated by the power supply unit and capable of detecting reduction of the protection current so that the alarm issues a warning signal to inform an user that the anode rod is in the electrical storage water heater is worn out.
