Description

支援增強上鏈之媒體存取控制層架構
本發明係有關包含一無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU)及一B節點之無線通信系統。更特別是,本發明係有關無線通信系統中支援增強上鏈(EU)之媒體存取控制(MAC)層架構及功能。
改善上鏈涵蓋,產出及傳輸延遲之方法目前被檢視於第三代夥伴計劃(3GPP)中之發行6(R6)中。為了成功執行這些方法,上鏈實際資源之排程及分配係從無線網路控制器(RNC)被移至B節點,使得即使無線網路控制器保持全部控制,B節點亦可以短期基礎較無線網路控制器做更有效決定及管理上鏈無線資源。
一個或更多獨立上鏈傳輸係被處理於共用時間區段內之無線傳輸/接收單元及通用行動電信系統(UMTS)陸上無線存取網路(UTRAN)間之增強專用頻道(E-DCH)上。此一例係為媒體存取控制(MAC)層混合自動重複要求(H-ARQ)或僅媒體存取控制層自動重複要求(ARQ)操作,其中各傳輸可能需不同傳輸數被通用陸上存取網路成功接收。
本發明係有關一種改良支援增強上鏈之媒體存取控制層架構及功能。被稱為MAC-e實體之增強上鏈之新媒體存取控制實體係被定義及併入無線傳輸/接收單元,B節點及無線網路控制器。無線傳輸/接收單元增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體係處理混合自動重複要求傳輸及再傳輸,優先性處理,增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體多工,及傳輸格式組合(TFC)選擇。B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體係處理混合自動重複要求傳輸及再傳輸,增強專用頻道排程及增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體解多工。無線網路控制器增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體係提供序列中傳遞及處理來自不同B節點之資料組合。
無線傳輸/接收單元增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體係包含一增強上鏈速率要求/分配實體,一優先性處理實體,一傳輸格式組合選擇實體及一混合自動重複要求實體。增強上鏈速率要求/分配實體係傳輸速率要求至B節點以便經由增強專用頻道來傳輸資料及處理被接收自B節點之速率核准。優先性處理實體係依據被傳輸之資料優先性管理資料分配及混合自動重複要求程序。傳輸格式組合選擇實體係針對資料選擇傳輸格式組合。混合自動重複要求實體係依據來自B節點之傳輸回授再傳輸資料。B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體係包含一排程器,一解多工器及一混合自動重複要求實體。
熟習此項技藝之人士由下列詳細說明中將明顯瞭解到本發明的其他目的和優點。
此後,“無線傳輸/接收單元”名詞係包含但不受限於使用者設備,行動台,固定或行動用戶單元,呼叫器或可運作於無線環境中之任何其他類型裝置。此後被稱為“B節點”名詞係包含但不受限於基地台,位址控制器,存取點或無線環境中之其他類型接介裝置。
本發明特性可被併入積體電路(IC)或被配置於包含大量互連組件之電路中。
第1圖係為依據本發明之無線通信系統10方塊圖。系統10係包含一無線傳輸/接收單元100,一B節點200及一無線網路控制器300。無線網路控制器300係藉由配置用於B節點200及無線傳輸/接收單元100之增強上鏈參數,如起始傳輸功率位準,最大允許增強上鏈傳輸功率或每B節點可得頻道資源來控制全部增強上鏈操作。無線傳輸/接收單元100及B節點200之間,增強專用頻道102係被建立來支援增強上鏈傳輸。
針對增強專用頻道,無線傳輸/接收單元100係經由上鏈增強上鏈信號發送頻道104傳輸速率要求至B節點200。為了回應,B節點200係經由下鏈(DL)增強上鏈信號發送頻道106傳輸速率核准至無線傳輸/接收單元100。增強上鏈無線資源係被分配給無線傳輸/接收單元100,該無線傳輸/接收單元100係經由增強專用頻道102傳輸增強專用頻道資料。回應增強專用頻道傳輸,B節點係經由下鏈增強上鏈信號發送頻道106傳輸確認(ACK)或否認(NACK)用於混合自動重複要求操作。B節點200亦可以速率核准回應無線傳輸/接收單元100以回映增強專用頻道資料傳輸。
第2圖係為依據本發明之增強專用頻道102協定架構方塊圖。被稱為MAC-e實體之增強上鏈之新媒體存取控制實體係被創造於無線傳輸/接收單元100中,B節點200及無線網路控制器300係處理有關增強專用頻道傳輸及接收之所有功能。增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體120係被併入專用頻道媒體存取控制實體130及實際層(PHY)實體110間之無線傳輸/接收單元100。無線傳輸/接收單元100中之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體120係處理混合自動重複要求傳輸及再傳輸,優先性處理,增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體多工,及傳輸格式組合選擇。增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220係被併入處理混合自動重複要求傳輸及再傳輸,增強專用頻道排程及增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體多工之B節點200。增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體320係被併入無線網路控制器300以提供序列中傳遞及處理組合來自不同B節點之資料組合。
第3圖係為依據本發明之無線傳輸/接收單元100中之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體120架構方塊圖。無線傳輸/接收單元增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體120係包含一增強上鏈要求/分配實體122,一優先性處理實體124,一傳輸格式組合選擇實體126及一混合自動重複要求實體128。應注意第3圖係被提供為本發明較佳實施例,而第3圖所示實體可被併入共用媒體存取控制功能實體中,且該功能基本上可藉由功能實體來實施。
當無線傳輸/接收單元100具有經由增強專用頻道102等待被傳輸之增強專用頻道資料時,增強上鏈速率要求/分配實體122係負責要求來自B節點200之無線資源。增強上鏈速率要求可為訊務量指標,被要求資料速率,傳輸格式組合指數及各資料流之訊務量測量(TVM)量其中之一。該速率要求可經由實體或媒體存取控制層信號發送被傳輸至B節點200。速率要求係以無線鏈路控制(RLC)資料訊務量測量為基礎而產生。訊務量測量可包含用於增強專用頻道傳輸之資料訊務量,或選擇性進一步包含等待以主動混合自動重複要求程序再傳輸之資料。
當無線傳輸/接收單元100接收來自B節點200(無線傳輸/接收單元可接收來自一個以上B節點之速率核准)之速率核准(也就是速率及/或時間排程)時,增強上鏈速率要求/分配實體122係通知優先性處理實體124資源可用於傳輸資料。該被接收速率核准係決定增強專用頻道傳輸格式組合組(TFCS)子集,及/或開始時間,及持續期間(選擇性)。
藉由傳輸速率要求,無線傳輸/接收單元100可要求B節點200改變傳輸格式組合組內之允許上鏈傳輸格式組合組,而B節點200可藉由傳輸速率核准來改變傳輸格式組合組內之允許上鏈傳輸格式組合。無線傳輸/接收單元100可傳輸排程資訊更新至B節點200來提供緩衝區佔用及/或可用傳輸功率資訊,使B節點200中之排程實體222可決定適當傳輸格式組合組指標及傳輸時間區間。為了持續控制快速排程,B節點200可傳輸代表系統可容許干擾之參數,並避免速率控制模式中之無線傳輸/接收單元引進額外干擾。此可被達成之一法係使B節點200發送無線傳輸/接收單元100可用於速率核准中之增強上鏈傳輸之被允許傳輸功率信號。
優先性處理實體124可依據資料優先性來管理資料流分配及混合自動重複要求程序。新傳輸或再傳輸係以來自相關下鏈增強上鏈信號發送之傳輸回授為基礎被決定。再者,各媒體存取控制協定資料單元(PDU)之佇列識別(ID)及傳輸序號(TSN)係被決定。傳輸序號對增強專用頻道內之各優先等級係為唯一,且針對各新資料塊被增加。可選擇是,優先性處理實體124可先行再傳輸較低優先性資料。較高優先性資料可於任何時間取代較低優先性資料未決定再傳輸而被啟動。
傳輸格式組合選擇實體126係依據被以速率核准發送之資訊針對被傳輸於增強專用頻道102上之資料來選擇傳輸格式組合,並多工複數專用頻道媒體存取控制流至一增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元。速率核准可為絕對核准或相對核准。絕對核准係提供無線傳輸/接收單元可使用最大上鏈資源量之絕對限制。相對核准係與先前被使用值相較而增加或減少資源限制。
傳輸格式組合選擇係受制於最大允許傳輸功率,及被來自B節點200之資料核准允許之對應傳輸格式組合組子集。傳輸格式組合選擇係以邏輯頻道優先性為基礎,使該傳輸格式組合選擇得以最大化較高優先性資料傳輸。藉由無線網路控制器配置之一增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元中之專用頻道媒體存取控制流允許組合亦被考慮選擇傳輸格式組合。
混合自動重複要求實體128係處理混合自動重複要求協定所需之所有工作。混合自動重複要求實體128係負責儲存增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體酬載並於失敗傳輸例中再傳輸它們。混合自動重複要求實體128可支援混合自動重複要求協定之複數例(混合自動重複要求程序)。被配置於無線傳輸/接收單元100處之增強上鏈可能具有一個以上混合自動重複要求程序。
依據本發明,同步混合自動重複要求係較佳被實施。因此,混合自動重複要求操作係以同步下鏈確認及否認及上鏈中之同步再傳輸為基礎。
第4圖係為依據本發明之B節點200中之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220架構方塊圖。B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220係包含一排程器222,一解多工器224及一混合自動重複要求實體226。B節點中,一增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220係較佳被提供給各無線傳輸/接收單元,而一排程器係較佳被提供給各胞元。排程器222係管理無線傳輸/接收單元間之增強專用頻道胞元資源。
排程器222係管理無線傳輸/接收單元及混合自動重複要求程序間之增強專用頻道資源。以來自無線傳輸/接收單元100之速率要求為基礎,排程器222係經由下鏈增強上鏈信號發送頻道106產生速率核准並傳輸它們至無線傳輸/接收單元。速率核准係提供決定無線傳輸/接收單元100可選擇自之傳輸格式組合組之資訊,及標示無線傳輸/接收單元被允許用於增強專用頻道傳輸之最大資源。排程器222係控制對應增強上鏈信號發送頻道上之速率要求接收及速率核准傳輸。可替代是,獨立控制實體(無圖示)可被提供於B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220來接收速率要求及傳輸速率核准,而排程器222可被提供自B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體220。
解多工器224係解多工增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元為專用頻道媒體存取控制協定資料單元。增強專用頻道媒體存取控制流對增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元解多工係被支援於無線傳輸/接收單元100中。複數增強專用頻道媒體存取控制流可被配置給一無線傳輸/接收單元且可被多工於相同增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元。可被多工於一增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元中之增強專用頻道媒體存取控制流組合係藉由無線網路控制器300來配置。被多工之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元係被解多工器224解多工為增強專用頻道媒體存取控制流。B節點解多工可產生增強專用頻道媒體存取控制或無線鏈路控制協定資料單元再排序,而增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元再排序可藉由無線網路控制器300來執行。
再排序可被執行於混合自動重複要求程序數已知之B節點增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體或無線網路控制器增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體中。回去參考第2圖,無線網路控制器增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體320係包含可依據被接收傳輸序號再排序被接收之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元一再排序實體。具有連續傳輸序號之增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體協定資料單元係被傳遞至分解功能,而具有遺失較低傳輸序號之協定資料單元係不被傳遞至分解功能。該分解功能係於傳輸增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體標頭之前將其移至較高層。無線網路控制器300係包含可再排序具有不同優先等級之協定資料單元之複數再排序佇列。
再排序被執行於無線網路控制器增強上鏈之媒體存取控制實體例中,B節點200係傳輸具有被成功解碼資料之混合自動重複要求程序數至無線網路控制器300。混合自動重複要求程序亦可藉由被傳輸至無線網路控制器之B節點處接收時間隱約得知。混合自動重複要求程序數可被隱含導自系統幀數(SFN)或連接幀數(CFN),並得知無線傳輸/接收單元100中之混合自動重複要求程序分配計劃。

Claims (20)

  1. 一種在一無線傳輸/接收單元(WTRU)中之增強上鏈媒體存取控制實體(MAC-e),包含:配置以傳輸關於一增強專用頻道(E-DCH)資料量的資訊之電路;配置以回應所傳輸資訊而接收核准資訊的電路;配置以從一無線存取網路接收標示專用頻道媒體存取控制(MAC-d)流之允許組合的資訊的電路,該專用頻道媒體存取控制流被允許來被多工到一MAC-e協定資料單元(PDU);回應標示MAC-d流之允許組合的所接收資訊而配置以基於MAC-d流的該允許組合來將MAC-d流多工到一MAC-e PDU之電路;配置以基於所接收核准資訊而選擇傳輸該MAC-e PDU的一傳輸格式組合(TFC)之電路;以及一混合自動重複要求(H-ARQ)實體,配置以根據一傳輸回授而再傳輸該MAC-e PDU。
