Abstract

A method of producing carbon nanotube, which uses polymer as raw material to carry out in-situ thermal degradation reaction; more specifically, the raw material of polymer is mixed with the metallic catalyst prior to the in-situ thermal degradation reaction, in order that the polymer be carbonized and precipitate carbon to produce the carbon nanotube. The disclosed process method possesses the advantages of easy processability, ability to operate under low temperature, low production cost, and high safety.
