Abstract

Traditional brake mechanism of a rotary operating electric component consists of a holding part (26) that can hold or escape from the relief part (25a). The holding part has a spring tongue (27) with two edges (27a), (27b) attaching to the shoulder (23b) of the bearing (23). When the holding part (26) jumps according to the topography of the relief part (25a), the spring tongue (27) deforms repeatedly. Thus the two edges (27a) and (27b) of the spring tongue (27) slip on the shoulder (23b) of the bearing (23). Vibrational impacts between the edges and the shoulder (24b) also cause great noise. The brake mechanism of a rotary operating electric component in the current invention makes plastic supports (8) provided on the spring tongue (7) press contact with the fixing part (3). This can greatly reduce the slipping and vibrational noise between the support and the holding part during braking.
