Abstract

A method and an apparatus for removing an inorganic halogenated gas are disclosed. The method includes the following steps: exposing a gas containing inorganic halogenated gas to iron oxide or synthetic zeolite, at least one kind; and exposing the gas to an anion exchange resin, thereby increasing an amount of the inorganic halogenated gas removed. The inorganic halogenated gas may be ClF3, SiF4, SiCl4, BF3, BCl3, PF3, PCl3, Cl2 or F2.
