Production Of Liquid Hydrocarbon Mixture For Refining Petroleum
(AREA)
Abstract
A process for the catalytic hydrogenation of aromatics in feeds for diesel fuels and kerosine in which, at 200-382℃ and in the presence of hydrogen, the feedstock having a boiling point of 140℃ to 371℃ and containing 10 to 50 vol% of aromatics, less than 0.05 % by weight of sulfur (based on elemental sulfur), and less than 0.05 % by weight of nitrogen (based on elemental nitrogen) is contacted with a hydrogenation catalyst containing a Group VIII noble metal selected from a group consisting of rhodium, palladium, iridium, platinum, and mixtures thereof, and MCM-41 under conditions where less than 20% by weight of hydrocarbons having a boiling point higher than 196℃ in the feedstock is converted to hydrocarbon products having a boiling point less than 196℃.
