Abstract

A lightning arrester element unit consisting of a plurality of non-linear resistance elements connected in series, the lightning arrester being clamped by a pair of terminal fittings and covered by an elastic covering, which is characterized in that: the two terminal fittings which have plane surface parts bonded to end surfaces of a lightning arrester element, and protruding parts which are stretched from the surface side and protruded outside from an insulating covering member are adopted as both terminal fittings; the lightning arrester and both of the end terminal metal fittings are collectively retained with an insulating holding member whose rigidity is higher than that of the insulating covering member.
