Abstract
A motor with combined silicon-iron-pole and permanent-magnet rotor has following characteristics. The permanent magnet is used to push the flux generated by the stator to flow along the adequate silicon iron pole. Hence, the induced forces of all the poles with fluxes passed through have the same direction and remove the effect oftorque cancellation.
