On irradiated paper-twisted 1/8" corncob bedding (Sheperd) in HEPA ventilated cages (Innocage® IVC, Innovive USA). Animals had ad libitum access to drinking water (reverse osmosis, 2 ppm Cl) and 19% protein , 9% fat and 4% fiber radiation tested rodent diet (Teklad 2919).

All study animals were tagged and followed individually throughout the experiment.

The tumor volume can be calculated using the formula: TV=width2×length×0.52. At the completion of the study, the initial (i) and final (f) tumor measurements were calculated and reported for each treatment group (T) versus the control group ( C) Percent Tumor Growth Inhibition (TGI%) values.
