Abstract

A television system including a selecting circuit, a signal processing circuit, a control circuit, and a setting circuit is provided. The selecting circuit selects and outputs a video/audio input signal based on a playback command. The signal processing circuit performs a signal processing procedure on the video/audio input signal based on playback-effect settings, so as to generate a processed video/audio signal. The setting circuit includes a register for storing the playback-effect settings and provides the playback-effect settings to the signal processing circuit. In response to a storing request, the control circuit retrieves the playback-effect settings from the register in the setting circuit and stores the playback-effect settings into a look-up table as expected playback-effects corresponding to the video/audio input signal currently being played.
