The area 110 is disposed or disposed on opposite sides of the active area 110, but the disclosure is not limited thereto. The active area 110 has at least one pixel circuit PC, and the active area 110 can provide a display picture through the display medium 300 and the pixel circuit PC being matched with each other. The key pattern 410 is disposed outside the active area 110. Therefore, the key pattern 410 does not obscure the display screen provided by the active area 110.

In some embodiments, the cover plate 400 is disposed on the first substrate 100 and the second substrate 200 to provide a touch interface for the user, and can serve as a protective layer to prevent the touch display device 10 from being damaged due to impact. For example, the cover plate 400 may be a transparent substrate, a rigid substrate, or a flexible substrate, such as glass, reinforced glass, polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), Or other cyclic olefin copolymers, etc., but the disclosure is not limited thereto.

410。 In some embodiments, the key pattern 410 of the cover plate 400 may include a patterned hole or a solid pattern. For example, in some embodiments, the cover plate 400 may have a light-shielding layer or a decoration layer (not shown in the figure). By digging holes in the light-shielding layer or the decoration layer, the light-shielding layer or the decoration layer defines a key. Pattern 410. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the button pattern 410 may be silk-screened on the surface of the cover 400.

In some embodiments, the touch sensing layer 500 is located on the second substrate 200, and the vertical projection of the touch sensing layer 500 on the first substrate 100 is at least partially located in the active area 110 and the key area 120. When the user touches any area located above the touch sensing layer 500, a signal change occurs at the corresponding contact position on the touch sensing layer 500, and the touch position can be determined by measuring the signal change to obtain information. That is, the touch sensing layer 500 can sense the touch of the active area 110 and the touch of the key area 120. In some embodiments, for example, the touch sensing layer 500 may be a capacitive touch unit, an optical touch unit, an electromagnetic touch unit, etc., and is used to touch and sense foreign objects, but this disclosure Not limited to this.

In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 1, the circuit of the touch sensing layer 500 on the active area 110 may be integrated into the flexible circuit board 510. Similarly, the touch sensing layer 500 on the key area 120 may be integrated. The circuits can also be integrated into the same flexible circuit board 510, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the touch display device 10.

200。 In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 1, the touch display device 10 includes a first frame adhesive 710. The first frame adhesive 710 is disposed between the first substrate 100 and the second substrate 200. The second substrate 200 and the first frame adhesive 710 can jointly define a receiving space of the display medium 300. For example, in some embodiments, the first frame adhesive 710 may be located on the periphery of the first substrate 100 to form a surrounding enclosed space, so that the display medium 300 can be accommodated in an area surrounded by the first frame adhesive 710. Within range. The display medium 300 can be used to change the physical properties of the image light displayed on the display screen. For example, in some embodiments, the display medium 300 may be controlled so that external light penetrates the second substrate 200 or external light cannot penetrate the second substrate 200. Alternatively, in some embodiments, the display medium 300 may actively emit light, and control whether the light passes through the second substrate 200.

For example, in some embodiments, the display medium 300 may be a liquid crystal display unit, such as a transmissive display unit, a color filter on array display unit, and a vertical alignment display ( vertical alignment unit, twist nematic display unit, multi-domain vertical alignment display unit, in-plane switching display unit, or patterned vertical alignment ) Display unit, but this disclosure is not limited to this. In some embodiments, the display medium 300 may be an electrically excited light display unit, such as an organic light emitting display unit, a fluorescent light excited light display unit, or a phosphorus light excited light display unit, but the disclosure is not limited thereto.

In some embodiments, the display medium 300 is located at least partially below the key pattern 410. That is, the vertical projection of the display medium 300 on the first substrate 100 at least partially overlaps the vertical projection of the key pattern 410 on the first substrate 100. In this way, when the display medium 300 includes an electroluminescent display unit, the key pattern 410 on the display medium 300 can receive light emitted by the electroluminescent display unit and illuminate. That is, the light emitted by the electro-excitation light display unit of the display medium 300 can advance toward the second substrate 200, and penetrate the key pattern 410 of the cover plate 400 to form a key with brightness, so that the key pattern 410 is in It can illuminate under the premise that no additional light source and light guide plate are required, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the touch display device 10 and also reducing the manufacturing steps of the touch display device 10. In other embodiments, the display medium 300 may be optionally not provided directly under the key pattern 410. In other embodiments, the display medium 300 may not be an electrically excited light display unit, and the touch display device 10 may include a backlight module or other light emitting elements, but the disclosure is not limited thereto.

In some embodiments, a pixel electrode PE of the pixel circuit PC of the touch display device 10 is located at least partially below the key pattern 410. In this way, the keypad 120 has a display medium 300 and a pixel electrode PE correspondingly disposed to control the keypad pattern 410 to independently emit light, thereby achieving independent control of the active area 110 and the keypad 120 of the touch display device 10. In more detail, the pixel electrode PE can control the display medium 300 located in the active area 110 and the key area 120 to control whether light passes through the second substrate 200. For example, the pixel electrode PE can control the display medium 300 so that the light from the active area 110 can pass upward through the second substrate 200 and the light from the key area 120 does not penetrate through the second substrate 200. Alternatively, the light from the active area 110 does not penetrate the second substrate 200, and the light from the key area 120 may penetrate the second substrate 200 upward, that is, the active area 110 and the key area 120 may emit light asynchronously. In other embodiments, the pixel electrode PE can also control the display medium 300 so that the active area 110 and the key area 120 can emit light simultaneously. The above-mentioned light may come from the display medium 300 (for example, an electrically excited light display unit), a backlight module, or other light emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto.

In some embodiments, the keypad 120 may not include the pixel electrode PE of the pixel circuit PC. When the keypad 120 does not have a pixel electrode PE, the display medium 300 located in the keypad 120 can be regarded as a dummy, and the light received by the keypad 120 can be transmitted to the keypad pattern 410 at least partially, so that the keypad pattern 410 Shiny. That is, the light (the display medium from the active area 110, the backlight module, or other light-emitting components) can be transmitted to the key area 120 without being blocked by the display medium 300 of the key area 120. Therefore, the active area 110 and the keys The area 120 may emit light simultaneously.

In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 1, the touch display device 10 may optionally include an upper polarizer 610 and a lower polarizer 620, and at least part of the upper polarizer 610 and the lower polarizer 620 are disposed in an active area. 110. The lower polarizer 620 can be used to convert light into polarized light, and then the display medium 300 and the upper polarizer 610 are arranged to control the penetration of light. It is worth noting that, in some embodiments of the present disclosure, the light source of the touch display device 10 may be a display medium, a backlight module, or other suitable light emitting elements. In the following, an embodiment in which the touch display device 10a uses the backlight module 800 as a light source will be described in detail.

Referring to FIG. 2, FIG. 2 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10 a according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the touch display device 10 a further includes a backlight module 800. The backlight module 800 includes a light guide plate 810 and at least one light source 820. The light guide plate 810 is located at least partially under the key pattern 410, and the light source 820 is located on a side of the light guide plate 810. Specifically, in some embodiments, the backlight module 800 is disposed below the cover plate 400 and the display medium 300, and the light source 820 is disposed on one side of the light guide plate 810 (as shown on the right side in FIG. 11). The light source 820 is used to emit light. The light can be transmitted through the light guide plate 810 and turned to the active area 110 and the key area 120 of the first substrate 100, that is, the light emitted by the backlight module 800 can cover the active area 110 and the key area 120. In this way, the active area 110 and the key area 120 can share the same backlight module 800, so that the key pattern 410 is illuminated without additional light sources, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the touch display device 10a. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2, the light guide plate 810 has at least one button light emitting region 812 and no light emitting structure region 814. The button light emitting region 812 has at least one light emitting structure 816 therein, and the non light emitting structure region 814 is adjacent to the button. The light emitting area 812, where the vertical projection of the key pattern 410 on the light guide plate 810 and the key light emitting area 812 at least partially overlap. In more detail, the light emitting structure 816 is disposed on a lower surface of the light guide plate 810 and is at least partially located on a lower surface of the key light emitting region 812. The non-light emitting structure region 814 is a region in the light guide plate 810 that does not have the light emitting structure 816. For example, in some embodiments, the non-light emitting structure region 814 may be located outside the active region 110, and the vertical projection of the non-light emitting structure region 814 on the lower surface of the light guide plate 810 and the key pattern 410 on the lower surface of the light guide plate 810. The vertical projections are separated from each other. In this way, when the light is transmitted through the light guide plate 810, the light emitting area 812 of the key has a light emitting structure 816. The light emitting structure 816 can destroy the total reflection of the light and redirect the light to the key pattern 410, so that the key pattern 410 is illuminated. In addition, since the non-light-emitting structure region 814 does not have the light-emitting structure 816, when the light reaches the non-light-emitting structure region 814, the light will not be diverted and leave the light guide plate 810 from the non-light-emitting structure region 814, thereby reducing unnecessary light Fugitive can also save energy.

In some embodiments, the vertical projection of the non-light emitting structure region 814 on the cover plate 400 does not overlap the key pattern 410, and the vertical projection of the non-light emitting structure region 814 on the first substrate 100 does not overlap the active region 110. For example, in some embodiments, the vertical projection of the non-light-emitting structure region 814 on the cover plate 400 may be located on the left, right, upper, and / or lower side of the key pattern 410, or disposed around the key pattern 410 or placed on the key pattern 410 Opposite sides, but this disclosure is not limited to this.

In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 2, the light emitting structure 816 is used to turn light from the light source 820, and the density or size of the light structure 816 on the light guide plate 810 can be designed to increase the backlight module 800. The brightness of the light. For example, in some embodiments, the light emitting structure 816 may be a microstructure or a dot structure formed by a process such as machining, etching, sandblasting, or sheet replacement, but the disclosure is not limited thereto.

Referring to FIG. 3, FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10b according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. The main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the touch display device 10b includes an upper polarizer 610b, which is located on or above the second substrate 200, but at least one upper polarizer-free region 612 remains on or above the second substrate 200. The vertical projection of the top polarizer-free region 612 on the cover plate 400 at least partially overlaps the key pattern 410. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 3, the upper polarizer 610b is disposed between the second substrate 200 and the cover plate 400, and the key pattern 410 is disposed directly above the non-top polarizer region 612, that is, the key pattern 410 is directly There is no upper polarizer 610b below. In this way, light can effectively penetrate the top polarizer region 612, so that the key pattern 410 emits light, and the light emission brightness of the key pattern 410 is increased. The light here may come from a display medium, a backlight module, or other suitable light-emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

Referring to FIG. 4, FIG. 4 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10c according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. The main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the touch display device 10c includes a lower polarizer 620c, which is located below or below the first substrate 100, but at least one bottomless polarizer region 622 remains below or below the first substrate 100. And the vertical projection of the lower polarizer-free region 622 on the cover plate 400 at least partially overlaps the key pattern 410. That is, the lower polarizer 620c is disposed on the lower surface of the second substrate 200, and the key pattern 410 is disposed directly above the non-lower polarizer region 622, that is, there is no lower polarizer 620c directly below the key pattern 410. In this way, light can effectively penetrate the non-lower polarizer region 622, so that the key pattern 410 emits light, and the luminous brightness of the key pattern 410 is increased. The light here may come from a display medium, a backlight module, or other suitable light-emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The other details of this embodiment are generally as described above, and will not be repeated here.

Referring to FIG. 5, FIG. 5 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10d according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. The main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the touch display device 10d includes an upper polarizer 610d and a lower polarizer 620d, and the vertical projection of the upper and lower polarizer regions 612d and 622d on the cover plate 400 and The key pattern 410 at least partially overlaps. In this way, the light can penetrate the non-lower polarizer region 622d and the upper non-polarizer region 612d more effectively, so that the key pattern 410 emits light, and the luminous brightness of the key pattern 410 is increased. The light here may come from a display medium, a backlight module, or other suitable light-emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

Referring to FIG. 6, FIG. 6 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10e according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 6, the main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the polarizer 610e on the touch display device 10e has at least one opening 614, and the opening 614 of the upper polarizer 610e is perpendicular to the cover plate 400. The projection at least partially overlaps the key pattern 410.

In some embodiments, the lower polarizer 620e has at least one opening 624, and the vertical projection of the opening 624 of the lower polarizer 620e on the cover plate 400 at least partially overlaps the key pattern 410.

In some embodiments, the vertical projection of the opening 614 of the upper polarizer 610e on the cover 400 and the button pattern 410 at least partially overlap, and the vertical projection of the opening 624 of the lower polarizer 620e on the cover 400 and the button pattern 410 at least partially overlap. Partial overlap. In this way, light can penetrate the openings 624 and 614 more effectively, so that the key pattern 410 emits light, and the light intensity of the key pattern 410 is increased. The light here may come from a display medium, a backlight module, or other suitable light-emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

Referring to FIGS. 7 and 8, FIG. 7 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10 f according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. FIG. 8 is a schematic top view of a part of the first frame adhesive 710 and the second frame adhesive 720 of the touch display device 10f according to FIG. 7. As shown in FIG. 7, the main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the touch display device 10 f further includes at least a second frame adhesive 720. The second frame adhesive 720 is bonded to the first substrate 100 and the second substrate 200. The first substrate 100 has an active region 110 and a peripheral region 130. The second frame adhesive 720 is interposed between the active region 110 and the peripheral region 130. The glue 710 is located at least partially in the peripheral region 130. As shown in FIG. 8, the first substrate 100 here uses the second frame adhesive 720 as a boundary line, and is divided into opposite active areas 110 and peripheral areas 130. The active area 110 can provide a display screen by matching the display medium 300 and the pixel circuit PC to each other. The peripheral area 130 is located outside the active area 110 and may include a key area 120, an audio area, or other areas outside the active area 110. In more detail, the first frame adhesive 710 is disposed on the periphery of the first substrate 100, the second frame adhesive 720 may be disposed between the first frame adhesive 710 along the width direction D1 of the first substrate 100, and the second frame adhesive The 720 can be connected to the first frame adhesive 710, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. In this way, the first and second frame adhesives 710 and 720 can effectively adhere the first and second substrates 100 and 200 to increase the adhesion between the first and second substrates 100 and 200, thereby improving the first substrate 100 and the second substrate 200. Pulling force between a substrate 100 and a second substrate 200. In addition, since the second frame adhesive 720 can separate the active region 110 and the peripheral region 130 of the first substrate 100, and the second frame adhesive 720 can serve as a buffer zone between the active region 110 and the peripheral region 130, so when the peripheral region 130 is affected by When damaged, the peripheral area 130 can be removed by cutting or grinding without damaging the active area 110. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

Referring to FIG. 8, FIG. 8 is a schematic top view illustrating some embodiments of the first frame adhesive 710 and the second frame adhesive 720 of the touch display device 10 f according to FIG. 7. In some embodiments, the first frame adhesive 710 can form a surrounding enclosed space S on the first substrate 100. For example, the first frame glue 710 can be set to form a rectangular, trapezoidal or circular enclosed space, but the disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, the second frame rubber 720 may be a long strip, and the second frame rubber 720 may be disposed between the first frame rubber 710, and the closed space S formed by dividing the first frame rubber 710 is the first A space S1 and a second space S2. In some embodiments, the first and second frame adhesives 710 and 720 may be heat-curable or light-curable resins, and may be cured by heating or UV light irradiation, but the disclosure is not limited thereto.

S1。 In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 8, the second frame rubber 720 is continuously and uninterruptedly located on at least one side of the active area 110. Specifically, in some embodiments, the right half of the first frame adhesive 710 and the second frame adhesive 720 may form a closed first space S1 on the first substrate 100, thereby displaying the display medium 300 in a closed space. First space S1.

130。 In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 8, the second space S2 formed between the left half of the first frame rubber 710 and the second frame rubber 720 does not include the display medium 300. That is, the display medium 300 accommodated in the first space S1 can be stably disposed in the active area 110 without spilling to the peripheral area 130.

Referring to FIG. 9, FIG. 9 is a schematic top view of another embodiment of the first frame adhesive 710 and the second frame adhesive 720a of the touch display device 10f according to FIG. In some embodiments, the second sealant 720 a has at least one break 722. In other words, the second frame 720a can divide the closed space S formed by the first frame 710 into the first space S1 'and the second space S2', and the first space S1 'and the second space S2' are non-closed. Space (ie, open space), and the display medium 300 located in the active area 110 can enter the peripheral area 130 through the break 722. In some embodiments, as shown in FIG. 9, there is a display medium 300 between the left half of the first frame rubber 710 and the second space S2 'formed by the second frame rubber 720a. That is, the peripheral area 130 may have the display medium 300, and the key area 120 may also have the display medium 300. In this way, the display medium 300 and the pixel electrode PE can be configured to control the key pattern 410 to emit light independently, thereby achieving independent control of the active area 110 and the peripheral area 130 (or the key area 120) of the touch display device 10. For example, the display medium 300 can be controlled to control whether the light in the peripheral area 130 (or the key area 120) passes through the second substrate 200. In some embodiments, the display medium 300 in the peripheral area 130 may be controlled, so that the active area 110 and the key pattern 410 may emit light synchronously, or the active area 110 and the key pattern 410 may emit light asynchronously, but this disclosure does not take this as an example. limit. The above-mentioned light may come from a display medium, a backlight module, or other light-emitting elements, but this disclosure is not limited thereto.

Referring to FIG. 10, FIG. 10 is a schematic cross-sectional view of a touch display device 10g according to another embodiment of the present disclosure. As shown in FIG. 1, the main difference between this embodiment and the previous embodiment is that the touch sensing layer 500g is between the second substrate 200 and the first substrate 100. Specifically, 500 g of the touch sensing layer is disposed on the upper surface of the first substrate 100, that is, 500 g of the touch sensing layer can cover the pixel circuit PC and span the active area 110 and the key area 120 to form an embedded type. (in cell) touch panel, thereby facilitating the thinning of the touch display device 10g. In some implementations, for example, the touch sensing layer 500g may be a capacitive touch unit, an optical touch unit, an electromagnetic touch unit, etc., and used to touch and sense foreign objects, but this disclosure Not limited to this. In other embodiments, the touch display device 10 may also be an on-cell touch panel (as shown in FIG. 1), but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The other details of this embodiment are substantially as described above, and are not repeated here.

In the above-mentioned embodiments, the touch sensing layer of the touch display device disclosed in the present disclosure may be extended below the key pattern, and the key pattern touch function is provided, so that the key pattern does not need to be provided with another touch sense. Layer detection, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the touch display device. Therefore, with the extended setting of the touch sensing layer, the manufacturing process of the touch display device will not require another photomask process due to the production of the touch electrodes of the keys, so it can be performed without increasing the complexity of the process. In the case of a touch button, a touch electrode of a key is formed therein, thereby reducing the manufacturing steps of the touch display device. In addition, the active area and the key area of the first substrate can share the same backlight module, so that the key pattern can be illuminated without additional light sources, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost of the touch display device.

Although this disclosure has been described in the embodiment above, it is not intended to limit the present invention. Any person skilled in the art can make various modifications and retouches without departing from the spirit and scope of this disclosure. Therefore, the protection of this disclosure The scope shall be determined by the scope of the attached patent application.
