Abstract
An arrival time prediction system and method based on random-type neural network groups is provided. Locating information (longitude and latitude coordinates) is periodically obtained by vehicle-mounted mobile equipment, comparison is carried out with site information (a polygonal or round region) in the vehicle-mounted mobile equipment to determine if the equipment arrives at or leaves a station, and arrival or leaving information and timing are reported back to a cloud server. The cloud server is responsible for collecting the arrival or leaving information reported by the vehicle-mounted mobile equipment and analyzing travelling time among the stations, storing the data into a cloud database server, and aggregating the travel time data so as to train parameter values of a random-type neural network group algorithm.
