Abstract

一種導光板,包含一入光面、一間隔於該入光面的出光面、二分別由該出光面的兩相反側往該入光面的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面、二分別位於該入光面與該二連接面之交界的第一連接邊,及二連接該二第一連接邊之兩端的第二連接邊。定義θT為該導光板的全反射角,θ為該二連接面的延伸夾角,L為該入光面與出光面之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。透過該導光板的參數設計,讓光源所散發的光線通過該導光板即可讓光場的範圍縮小,達到集中光線的作用。本發明亦提供一種使用該導光板的照明裝置。

Description

導光板及照明裝置
本發明是有關於一種光學元件及光學模組,特別是指一種導光板及照明裝置。
於一般的展場中,若是需要對於長形或大型的展示區域進行照明,通常會同時使用長形的日光燈,或使用多盞圓燈,以使光線充足,然而使用日光燈容易有光線過於分散而亮度不足的問題,而使用多盞圓燈又容易有部分區域照明範圍重疊而部分區域亮度不足的問題,且多盞圓燈的設置亦會造成成本增加。
參閱圖1,為了解決上述問題,WO2012/145293公開案揭露一種照明裝置1,包含一導光板11、一設置於該導光板11之入光側的發光源12,及一設置於該導光板11之出光側的收斂元件13(banding reduction element),該發光源12具有多個間隔設置的發光二極體121。透過該導光板11的設置,將所述發光二極體121之點光源所散發的光線均勻化之後,再讓光線經過該收斂元件13,就能達到如圖2所示,讓位於下方之照射範圍縮小以達到集中光線的作用。然而,上述設計需另外設置該收斂元件13,無法精簡元件數量及製作程序。
因此,本發明之目的,即在提供一種不需額外的光學元件即可產生較為集中之光場的導光板。
於是本發明導光板,包含一入光面、一間隔於該入光面的出光面、二分別由該出光面的兩相反側往該入光面的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面、二分別位於該入光面與該二連接面之交界的第一連接邊,及二連接該二第一連接邊之兩端的第二連接邊,且該出光面的面積大於該入光面的面積。其中,定義θT為該導光板的全反射角,θ為該二連接面的延伸夾角,L為該入光面與出光面之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。
本發明之另一目的,即在提供一種配合前述導光板使用的照明裝置。
於是本發明照明裝置,包含一光源,及一用以接收該光源之光線的導光板。該導光板包含一入光面、一間隔於該入光面的出光面、二分別由該出光面的兩相反側往該入光面的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面、二分別位於該入光面與該二連接面之交界的第一連接邊,及二連接該二第一連接邊之兩端的第二連接邊,且該出光面的面積大於該入光面的面積。其中,定義θT為該導光板的全反射角,θ為該二連接面的延伸夾角,L為該入光面與出光面之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。
本發明之功效在於:透過該導光板的參數設計 ,讓該光源所散發的光線通過該導光板後,不需再另外設置收斂元件,即可讓光場的範圍縮小,達到集中光線的作用。

本發明之其他的特徵及功效,將於參照圖式的實施方式中清楚地呈現,其中:圖1是一立體圖,說明WO2012/145293公開案所揭露的一照明裝置;圖2是一側視圖,說明該照明裝置的使用態樣;圖3是一立體圖,說明本發明照明裝置之一較佳實施例,包含一光源及一導光板;圖4是一側視圖,輔助說明圖3,為了便於說明,於圖中省略該光源未繪出;及圖5是一側視圖,說明該導光板的另一種形態。
參閱圖3,本發明照明裝置2之一較佳實施例,包含一光源21,及一用以接收該光源21之光線的導光板22。於本實施例中,該光源21包括多個間隔設置的發光二極體211,但不以此為限。
參閱圖3、4,該導光板22包含一入光面221、一間隔於該入光面221的出光面222、二分別由該出光面222的兩相反側往該入光面221的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面223、二分別位於該入光面221與該二連接面223之交界的第一連接邊224,及二連接該二第一連接邊224之兩端 的第二連接邊225,且該出光面222的面積大於該入光面221的面積。
其中,該入光面221與該出光面222為平行,且每一連接面223具有一連接於該出光面222的傾斜段226,及一連接該傾斜段226與入光面221的平直段227,該二連接面223的平直段227是互相平行,定義θ為該二連接面223之傾斜段226的延伸夾角,θT為該導光板22的全反射角,L為該入光面221與出光面222之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊225的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。其中,θ與L皆是用來控制出光角度(angle of beam)的參數。當該光源21所散發的光線由該導光板22的入光面221進入後,光線會於該二連接面223之間持續進行全反射,而由該出光面222出光。
本發明利用兩種不同的材質製作該導光板22,一種為聚碳酸酯(Polycarbonate,PC),另一種為聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(Polymethylmethacrylate,PMMA),進行試驗後獲得如下頁表一所載之試驗結果。
配合參閱下頁表一之試驗結果,由於該導光板22的參數條件需符合θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT),由第(1)、(2)組之試驗結果來看,即使兩組皆符合L>(A/2)/(tanθT)的條件(30mm>2.2mm),但第(2)組在未符合θ<θT的條件下(θ為45°大於全反射角42.16°),其出光角度為120°,無法縮小出光角度以呈現集光的效果。而第(1)組同時符合θ<θT的條件(θ為18°小於全反射角42.16°),其出光角度為30°, 而能呈現集光的效果。再由第(3)、(4)組之試驗結果來看,由於兩組皆未符合L>(A/2)/(tanθT)的條件(2mm<2.2mm),因此即使第(3)組符合θ<θT的條件,其出光角度仍然無法呈現集光的效果。而第(5)~(8)組數據亦得到與第(1)~(4)組相對應的試驗結果。由此可知,該導光板22必須同時符合θ<θT及L>(A/2)/(tanθT)兩個參數條件,才能達到集光的效果。
再參閱圖3,要說明的是,該平直段227的設計,可以達到便於將該光源21夾持固定於該導光板22上的功效。但實際實施時,也可以是如圖5所示,使該連接面223只有該傾斜段226的設計,而讓該導光板22呈現另一種形態,該光源21(見圖3)則是以黏固或其他方式固定於該導光板22上。以圖5所示之導光板22進行前述試驗,同樣能得到相似於表一所載的試驗結果。
綜上所述,本發明照明裝置2透過該導光板22 的參數設計,讓該光源21所散發的光線通過該導光板22後,不需再另外設置如圖1所示之收斂元件13,即可讓光線的照射範圍縮小,達到集中光線的作用,故確實能達成本發明之目的。
惟以上所述者,僅為本發明之較佳實施例而已,當不能以此限定本發明實施之範圍,即大凡依本發明申請專利範圍及專利說明書內容所作之簡單的等效變化與修飾,皆仍屬本發明專利涵蓋之範圍內。

Claims (6)

  1. 一種導光板,包含:一入光面;一出光面,間隔於該入光面,且該出光面的面積大於該入光面的面積;二分別由該出光面的兩相反側往該入光面的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面;二分別位於該入光面與該二連接面之交界的第一連接邊;及二連接該二第一連接邊之兩端的第二連接邊;其中,定義θT為該導光板的全反射角,θ為該二連接面的延伸夾角,L為該入光面與出光面之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。
  2. 如請求項1所述的導光板,其中,該入光面與該出光面為平行。
  3. 如請求項1所述的導光板,其中,每一連接面具有一連接於該出光面的傾斜段,及一連接該傾斜段與入光面的平直段,該二連接面的平直段是互相平行。
  4. 一種照明裝置,包含:一光源,及一用以接收該光源之光線的導光板,其中,該導光板包括:一入光面;一出光面,間隔於該入光面,且該出光面的面積大於該入光面的面積; 二分別由該出光面的兩相反側往該入光面的方向傾斜相向延伸的連接面;二分別位於該入光面與該二連接面之交界的第一連接邊;及二連接該二第一連接邊之兩端的第二連接邊;其中,定義θ為該二連接面的延伸夾角,θT為該導光板的全反射角,L為該入光面與出光面之間的距離,A為每一第二連接邊的長度,而θ<θT,且L>(A/2)/(tanθT)。
  5. 如請求項4所述的照明裝置,其中,該導光板的入光面與出光面為平行。
  6. 如請求項4所述的照明裝置,其中,該導光板的每一連接面具有一連接於該出光面的傾斜段,及一連接該傾斜段與入光面的平直段,該二連接面的平直段是互相平行。
